Chapter 205 - Chapter 205 Argonaut Expedition

"Ares, you just wait! You're going to die in a hundred years!"

Ares, controlling one of his avatars, Perseus, stood in the distance and roared at himself, then made him limp away.

Then, he turned around and, extending his palm, handed the eyeball and teeth in his hand to the Graeae Sisters behind him.

"Ignore him, he's crazy. Athena drove him mad. Here, your eyes and teeth."

"Thank you for your help, great Ares."

Pemphredo, the eldest of the Graeae Sisters, gratefully took the eyeball and teeth from Ares's hand, carefully wiped them, then placed the eye on her second sister Graeae Sister Deino's face and the teeth into the mouth of the youngest, Graeae Sister Deino.

After all this, the Graeae Sisters came before Ares and said to him, with a mix of respect and resentment, "Athena's subordinate is truly ignorant of his place. Does he really think his goddess can control everything?"

"What can be done?" Ares chuckled twice, mockingly saying, "It's because she's currently in favor with Zeus."

"Alas, this world is truly miserable, having two generations of God Kings, each more brutal than the last. When Cronus was in power, we could at least live freely. Now that humans have appeared and the glory of the gods has been spread by them to every corner of the world, Zeus no longer allows us heretical gods to appear in his sight."

The Graeae Sisters sighed, and then the eldest revealed to Ares:

"God of War, you must also be careful. That madman just now asked us how to bypass your divine power and enter the Invisible Island. The Gorgon are probably in danger."

"It's fine, you just take care of yourselves. I will modify the route to the Invisible Island later."

Ares replied:

"I suggest you move out of here soon, otherwise Athena will definitely send people to trouble you again. I stopped them this time, but next time it might not be possible."

After speaking, Ares waved to the three of them, then summoned his chariot and drove away from there.

Watching the God of War's figure disappear into the sky, Enyo, the second of the three sisters, sighed, "Alas, if only all gods were as reasonable as the God of War."

"According to the rumors circulating on the earth, he's actually not reasonable at all, but rather tyrannical," the youngest, Graeae Sister Deino, muttered. "But it's ironic that such a brutal deity, in our perception, is better than so many glamorous gods on Olympus."

"Let's not talk about these useless things for now. The God of War is right, we must leave here as soon as possible, otherwise other gods or Athena's lackeys will definitely come to trouble us again."

Pemphredo, the eldest of the Graeae, said to her two younger sisters:

"That woman Athena has formidable methods. We three sisters definitely can't contend with her."

"Are we just going to let her and her servants act so arrogantly?" the third sister, Graeae Sister Deino, asked through gritted teeth.

"Of course not!" Pemphredo lowered her head, thought for a moment, and then said, "Currently, the only place Athena and the gods of Olympus cannot reach is Hades's Underworld. I heard that the Great Goddess Hecate is in charge there now. That goddess is close to the God of War, so why don't we go seek refuge with her? If the God of War and the Great Goddess want to deal with Athena then, we'll also contribute and annoy that hateful woman to death!"

On the other side, after Perseus limped away from the gray tower, a golden light suddenly appeared by the roadside in front of him. In the gentle glow, the beautiful blonde goddess Athena appeared on Perseus's path.

Seeing Athena, Perseus immediately showed a look of shame, then knelt on one knee and apologized:

"I'm sorry, Goddess, I brought shame upon you."

"Don't take it to heart, Perseus. Encountering Ares was beyond your capabilities."

Athena extended her hand, gently patted Perseus's shoulder, and then said:

"Even I didn't expect him to act so quickly, already staking out a position at the Graeae Sisters' place, waiting for you."

"Do you mean, he can foresee the future?" Perseus asked in surprise.

"More or less, but this should be your teacher Hecate helping him," Athena said, stroking her chin.

"Teacher…" The expression on Perseus's face froze, then he angrily cursed, "Teacher is so biased!"

He knelt on the ground, muttering angrily under his breath, murmuring things like, "Is being an early disciple so great?"

Athena withdrew her gaze from Perseus and then softly said:

"Hecate helping him is nothing new, but the current problem is that your actions were exposed by him, and he will likely change the protective measures for the Invisible Island. The navigation route given by the Graeae Sisters should also be unworkable."

"What?"

Perseus stood up excitedly, gripping the Slaughter of the Undead Blade in his hand, and angrily said:

"Goddess, I am willing to challenge the divine power of the God of War for you!"

"What are you going to do? Go to your death?" Athena couldn't help but ask, somewhat speechless.

"For you, I am not afraid of death!" Perseus declared loudly, "For you, I am willing to be an enemy of the world!"

"Alright, alright, I have no intention of being an enemy of the world." Athena waved her hand, and suddenly an idea struck her. She said, "I've got it, Perseus, have you heard of this person, Jason?"

"Jason?" Perseus lowered his head, thought for a moment, and whispered, "When I was out on a mission before, I think I heard of him. Ah, I remember now, he's that blond kid who used to study combat skills with me under the centaur sage Chiron."

"That's right, it's him." Athena nodded and continued, "He is the son of Aeson, the former king of Iolcus in the Thessaly Gulf. However, Aeson's throne was usurped by his half-brother Pelias. Even so, Pelias's claim to the throne is illegitimate, and the throne of Thessaly still belongs to Jason. But before that, the gods want him to undergo a trial. He must go to Colchis Island overseas to obtain the golden fleece of the Colchis Kingdom and bring it back. For this, Jason was helped by me to build a ship in the port of Thessaly, calling upon heroes from all over the world to join him on this glorious expedition. This expedition is being watched by gods from above and below, and even Ares cannot single-handedly block their path. Perseus, you are also a hero. You can go to Thessaly to find them and join this expedition."

"So that's how it is, Goddess, your wisdom is unmatched." Perseus knelt devoutly on the ground and said, "Then Goddess, what is the name of Jason's ship?"

"Argo." Athena replied with a smile, "Jason's ship is named Argo."
