The rain outside the villa was a soft, relentless drizzle, blurring the windows of the Moonlight Pavilion. Inside, however, the air felt suffocating, and it had nothing to do with the weather.
Qiao Mei stood in the center of the luxurious bedroom, a towel wrapped securely around her body, staring at the massive king-sized bed. It was draped in white linen, looking like a cloud.
She always enjoyed sleeping in bed naked, but that would be a different case since Lin Jun was with her, but she forgot her nightwear.
Then she looked at the sleek, modern sofa in the living area.
"So," she said, her voice trying for casual but landing somewhere near strangled. "The couch looks comfortable. It's... long."
Lin Jun stood by the window, adjusting his glasses. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt and grey lounge pants, looking devastatingly domestic and frustratingly calm.
