My body froze and my eyes widened.
There was a moment of silence as I processed her answer. "What are you talking about?" I asked him.
"Kolton is the one who has Anthony." She explained
"How do I know you're not lying to me to through me off?" I demanded her. It wasn't making any sense. This was such a curve ball. "Why would Kolton do this?"
"I have nothing to gain about lying about this," she quickly defended herself. "He tried to kill me. Kolton is the one who shot me. And he hates you and in particular he hates your father. "
"So your partner betrayed you? Why?" I asked. I knew Kolton was not happy with my father.
"He lied to me and used me," she said as tears formed in her eyes.
I scoffed. "That's rich coming from you. So you know what it feels like to be betrayed don't you?" I asked her.
The audacity to complain about betrayal when that's what she did to me.
