Since waking up in the morning, I have been extremely anxious.
Now that the children had been found, the weight of them had settled back into my mind. I could not understand when the day would come when I would completely get rid of them.
The way they were growing and time was passing, it felt like this sword would hang over my neck for the rest of my life.
If only my father had not been covering for them like this and had not become so emotional, their bodies might have decomposed by now, and no one would have known that I had even given birth to children.
But that was the problem. My father had grown attached to them just because of what had happened in the past.
"Lara, you did not come downstairs?" Lady Vivian called out after knocking on the door.
I grunted, staring at the door.
Sometimes, I felt like not answering at all so she would keep talking to herself and eventually leave.
