Lara:
Flashback:
I had just celebrated my sixteenth birthday yesterday. I was actually very happy. My father had bought me everything I wanted.
But the morning that followed brought a different kind of stress. There was a lot of commotion downstairs. Usually, no one made noise that early because they knew it made me angry. Whatever was happening was beyond control.
I dragged my body out of bed, rested for a moment, then opened the door and stepped outside.
"What is this? Why is there so much noise? I am sleeping," I yelled as I reached the staircase.
I could hear loud voices from downstairs and some babies crying. It was a very annoying cry.
"Which maid brought her child here now?" I screamed at the top of my lungs, briskly making my way downstairs.
I was still in my nightgown. As angry and restless as I was, I hated it when someone woke me up in the middle of my sleep, especially with this kind of noise.
