AURORA MOON
Aurora stood back and surveyed the dress on her mannequin. The new gold and emerald embroidery shimmered in the sunlight, catching fire along the bodice. The dress was Phoenix now, a testament to everything she had survived and become.
She was still in her loungewear, hair pulled into a loose ponytail, bare feet curled against the cool wood of her studio floor. She felt the ache in her body from Kellan's affection, her muscles pleasantly sore, a lingering reminder of his devotion. But more than that, she felt a deep, electric pulse of purpose. There was work to be done.
She settled at her worktable, pulling her sketchbook close and flipping to a blank page. With a few careful strokes, she began to sketch out design ideas for the final embellishments. She would use Red Flower in Green Sea as the front piece.
As her pencil flew across the paper, her mind wandered.
