Parker Defence Solutions – New York
Peter POV:
The boardroom was quiet, save for the hum of holographic screens. Reports scrolled across the displays: New military contracts, Ross's disgrace and Hammer Industries infrastructure integration and upgrade.
I stood at the head of the table, Gwen beside me. Former ex-special forces operatives and now my Spartan-IVs stood silently at attention.
"Ross is gone. But HYDRA won't stop. They'll burrow deeper." My tone was calm but sharp. "Every time we pull out one of their weeds, another sprouts."
Uncle Ben frowned. "And your solution is more soldiers?"
I didn't answer directly. Instead, I slid a data pad forward. "Not soldiers. Guardians. Men who volunteered. Men I've rebuilt." My eyes flicked toward Frank Castle, already taller, broader, sharper than any regular human should be.
Uncle Ben sighed, shaking his head. "One day, Peter… you'll need to decide if you're saving people or building an army."
I looked to the windows and said, "I'm doing both."
Triskelion – Briefing Room
Nick Fury paced in front of a holo-map. Maria Hill, Coulson and a handful of senior agents watched him carefully.
"Ross is out. Parker's playing kingmaker. And Stark… Stark just proved Vibranium-S is a real thing with his new suit." Fury tapped the table. "If we don't move fast, this planet's defense is going to belong to one kid with a god complex."
Hill raised an eyebrow. "And your solution?"
Fury glared. "A bigger table. We start the Initiative."
Coulson flipped open a file. "What about Thor? The reports out of New Mexico...."
"Yeah." Fury's one eye narrowed. "A hammer falls out of the sky, a god shows up and suddenly the desert's crawling with myths and legends. We don't know if he's friend or foe."
Hill frowned. "So we've got Parker building armies, Stark rewriting physics, a thunder god in the desert and a green rage monster running around. Earth is… complicated."
Fury leaned forward, voice low. "That's why we need to be ready."
New Mexico – The Desert
The crater was silent under the night sky, Mjolnir half-buried in the sand, glowing faintly with otherworldly power.
Locals had gathered, fenced off by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. No one could lift the hammer. Not soldiers, not machines. Not even the cranes Peter had quietly offered to lend.
In the shadows, Thor watched silently, powerless, his mortal form weighed down by exile.
He whispered under his breath.
"Father… how long must I walk among them before I am worthy again?"
Parker Residence – Night
The news cycle had shifted, now murmuring about "mystical events in New Mexico." Gwen looked up from her laptop, quirking a brow.
"You think this hammer thing is real?"
I sighed, adjusting a holographic blueprint of the Kimoyo beads. "Science hasn't found a hammer it couldn't explain yet."
Uncle Ben chuckled softly. "Careful, Peter. One day you might find something that doesn't want to be explained."
My smile faltered, just for a second.
Because deep down, I wasn't sure if just science would be enough for what was coming.
