Harlem, New York City
The roads shook as two titans clashed. Hulk and Abomination tore through buildings like living natural disasters. The civilians long since been evacuated by Spider-Woman and the police. Abrams tanks and Apaches had long since fallen silent. Too fragile for a battlefield like this.
But Parker Defence Solutions' machines weren't.
Rows of EXO-45 PATRIOT Combat walkers, towering armored walkers armed with plasma cannon railgun hybrids and reinforced Lithium Triteride plating, marched into the fray. Their heavy feet sank into the cracked desert floor as they encircled the battlefield.
Inside the command tent, General Ross barked into the comms. "Contain the Hulk! Drop bombs on Abomination if you have to!"
The EXO-45s moved in unison, energy barriers forming protective domes of energy to shield pinned down soldiers. Two frames locked onto Abomination and fired a special high tensile strength adhesive restraining Abomination, then they fired a concussive pulse into his chest, staggering the beast.
Hulk roared and lunged, smashing through a drone that tried to corral him. But when the EXO-45s coordinated their fire, the battlefield shifted.
For the first time, the two monsters weren't tearing through helpless men. They were fighting a war machine that didn't break in one blow.
Abomination charged, shrugging off the plasma blasts. His clawed hands ripped through one EXO-45's torso, sending sparks flying. Before he could tear it apart completely, another frame leapt in, bracing the injured machine and firing its railgun point-blank.
The round punched into Abomination's shoulder, spraying radioactive blood and bone. He staggered.
Hulk seized the opening, fists pounding into his rival with thunderous force. Together, Hulk and the EXO-45s overwhelmed the Abomination. When he finally collapsed, unconscious but alive, the deserted city streets fell silent.
Ross exhaled, sweat dripping down his brow. "Contain them both. Get Banner locked down."
But even as his words left his lips, reports were coming in. The EXO-45s had sustained only minimal damage. No catastrophic losses. Parker Defence had proven itself not Ross and to make matters worse Hulk had escaped but not before finishing Abomination.
Two nights later, the world saw General Ross's secrets.
News networks exploded with footage, documents and test logs. Classified files detailing gamma soldier experiments. Images of twisted men, failed subjects and decades of unethical testing filled the screens.
Ross's face dominated every headline.
"General Ross Lied to the Public!"
"Illegal Gamma Research Linked to Abomination Outbreak."
"Parker Defence EXO-45 Saved Lives, Ross Cost Them."
Congress called for hearings. The President demanded accountability. Ross retired in disgrace, his decades-long military career reduced to a national scandal.

Peter POV:
The TV showed Ross's resignation speech. Gwen leaned back on the couch, smirking. "Guess you pulled another thread."
I didn't look away from the screen. "Ross wanted a leash for Hulk. He ended up choking on his own."
Uncle Ben folded his paper, raising an eyebrow. "You leaked it, didn't you?"
I gave a faint smile while pushing my glasses up. "I didn't have to. The truth wanted out. I just opened the door."
Uncle Ben studied me for a long moment. "Just make sure you don't start thinking you get to choose all the truths people see."
My smile faded but I didn't reply.

Nick Fury watched the fallout from Ross's resignation on a flickering screen. His one eye narrowed.
"Hulk's off the leash. Ross is out and Parker just made himself the strongest defense contractor on Earth."
He turned to Agent Coulson.
"Start moving the pieces. We're gonna need a team."
