What Cassandra saw was a big bar.
The sign above the entrance glowed in neon lights, and through the large windows, she could see the dimly lit interior- mostly empty at this early hour.
The evening was just setting in.
"Stop. Reverse and drop me by the bar." Cassandra said sharply.
The driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror, his eyes shooting up in surprise.
"You sure, miss? That place can get rough later at night." The man said with the appropriate amount of concern for a stranger.
"Don't worry about that, just drop me there." Cassandra replied curtly and had to fight the urge to roll her eyes at the man's point.
If only he knew how many times she had been here. If anybody would somehow get hurt by the roughness of the bar, it would be other people not Cassandra Drayke.
The driver shrugged and reversed the cab, pulling up alongside the bar's entrance.
