Chapter 95 - Martalie Batrous

Martalie Batrous, the wealthy village head of the Dutch settlement, began his journey as one of the first human volunteers for the pioneering organizations E Space, NASE, and ARCI. In 2037, he became one of the earliest humans to set foot on Venus and live upon its hostile surface.

Batrous spearheaded the creation of a free trade market with the Axien, an alien civilization, and invested in building homes for the minority Axien settlers who chose to remain on the fiery planet. With Axien technology, magnetic field shields were erected across the crust, transforming the upper layers of Venus into habitable terrain. What was once a blazing inferno became, at first, a desert of golden sands.

By 2032, green grass began to spread across the land. Batrous established farmland and, soon after, legalized opium factories. Mining operations followed, turning Venus into a hub of exports. Humans from Earth migrated steadily, seeking a new home, and from this growth emerged a flourishing civilization known as Lyre—"the Lyre of Apollo."

Villages rose into towers, prosperity surged, and Batrous was celebrated as the symbolic leader of Lyre colony, immortalized in its history.

Yet his life ended tragically. During the grand celebration of Lyre's 35th anniversary, Martalie Batrous was poisoned. The perpetrator remains at large to this day.
