Lucian's POV
I had already warned Tyler. I had already told him that his little infatuation with Raven wouldn't save her. It wouldn't change anything. If anything, it was going to be a massive inconvenience. She wasn't someone to be coddled or cherished like some fragile flower. She was a Blackwood—a murderer's daughter—and that meant nothing but trouble for all of us.
But this? This stunt she just pulled? I wasn't prepared for that. Not at all. Yeah, I saw it all. I was there. She called him babe. The audacity. Tyler—stupid, naïve Tyler—let her use him like that. I watched the whole thing go down—watched as she latched herself to Tyler like some helpless child, looking for protection. And Tyler, stupid, naive Tyler, allowed himself to be used.
The idiot actually stood up for her.
I could feel the blood boiling in my veins.
