Chapter 54 - 54 - Jinsuke vs Gojo

"Maki, calm down."

Jinsuke looked at Gojo with a faint smile. "So, what do you plan to do?"

He knew this guy would never pass up such an opportunity.

Gojo reached up and untied the bandage covering his eyes, a grin stretching wider across his face.

"The higher-ups didn't dare announce your execution publicly. That means they're scared of what you might do in retaliation."

He knew exactly what the old men were thinking—they wanted to use him to get rid of Jinsuke.

"Those fossils have lived too long. They've lost all sense of right and wrong," Gojo said with a shrug.

"Still… I kind of agree with what you've been doing. But—" he smirked, raising his hands helplessly, "I did take their job, so I have to at least pretend to follow orders."

His words sounded casual, almost reluctant, as if he had no real desire to fight. If it weren't for the enormous grin threatening to split his face, Jinsuke might have almost believed him.

"Maki," Jinsuke said, his tone firm. "Go farther back. It's time you learned how to truly use our kind of power."

He could see the gleam in Gojo's eyes — there would be no avoiding this fight. Fine. Then it would serve as a perfect test of his current strength.

"Yes, Master!"

Maki's eyes lit up. Ignoring her injuries, she sprinted hundreds of meters away to watch. This battle would show her what pure physical cultivation was capable of.

Once she was clear, both men began to stretch lightly.

"At last," Gojo said, cracking his knuckles. "Been waiting for this day. Don't run away this time." There wasn't the hunger of a warrior in his eyes— only the mischievous excitement of a man finally getting to punch someone he'd wanted to for years.

"Relax," Jinsuke replied with a grin. "This time, I'll make sure you can't even talk back."

The next instant, he vanished.

BOOM!

A massive fist slammed into Gojo's Infinity barrier, sending him sliding back several meters. Gojo crossed his arms before his chest. "Tch—was expecting that."

When it came to hand-to-hand combat, Gojo couldn't match Jinsuke at all — not even his speed. But he wasn't stupid enough to try brute force.

He cranked his Limitless Technique to its peak, increasing his reaction speed and movement, while Infinity's defense expanded to its fullest. With Six Eyes active, he tracked every movement Jinsuke made.

"Now take your beating!" Gojo roared, turning into a blur as he launched forward.

The impact of their clash tore through the forest, scattering trees and earth in a violent storm of air pressure.

From afar, Maki ducked behind a tree, her eyes wide .She could barely follow the fight at all—two streaks of motion colliding faster than sight could register.

"So this… this is what a battle between monsters looks like…" she whispered, trembling with awe.

BOOM!

Gojo laughed wildly amid the chaos.

"Your power's incredible—more ferocious than cursed energy itself! But it still can't break through my Infinity! Stop struggling and take your beating already!"

He poured more cursed energy into his body, his speed blurring into near-teleportation. His excitement boiled over; he'd waited too long for this moment.

Jinsuke exhaled sharply. "Impressive. You truly live up to the title of the strongest sorcerer. In my normal state, I can't beat that technique of yours." He grinned, voice low and dangerous. "So I guess it's time to get serious."

The air trembled. A deep roar echoed from within his body as five internal gates burst open at once.

BOOM!!

A tidal wave of raw life force exploded outward, boiling the air into white steam. The shockwave sent Gojo flying back as the ground cracked beneath Jinsuke's feet.

His skin flushed red, veins bulging across his frame.

"What the hell is this?!" Gojo's eyes widened. That power—it was swelling, alive, and monstrous.

"That's… Master's true power…" Maki whispered, her hands tightening into fists.

Jinsuke's lips curved into a savage grin. "Let's keep going." The energy in his body rumbled again—

Gate of View… OPEN!

The explosion of aura turned the forest into a sea of pressure. Pain tore through his muscles, but he laughed through it. "It hurts like hell—but damn, it's worth it!"

Gojo's eyes narrowed. "You've been hiding quite a secret, haven't you?" He rose into the air, steadying himself, and wiped a streak of blood from his mouth. "You actually managed to injure me…"

His tone turned cold. "Guess I can't hold back anymore. Don't blame me for what happens next."

He extended his hands, forming finger guns toward the ground where Jinsuke stood.Cursed energy condensed at his fingertips into glowing crimson spheres.

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!"

The orbs blasted down like bombs, tearing the landscape apart in a chain of explosions. Gojo grinned. "What's wrong? Can't fly, can you?"

The forest vanished under a storm of energy.

Jinsuke leapt into the sky, his muscles coiling with explosive force, meeting Gojo at the same altitude."Nice try," he said. "But I'm not that easy to pin down."

"Hah! I'm a sorcerer," Gojo replied, grinning ear to ear. "Using my advantages is only fair."

He aimed again, red light blooming in his hand. "Nowhere left to run. Just give up—taking a beating from me isn't that embarrassing!"
