Detective Ian Hayes is assigned a new case—a string of missing people who turned up dead. With no evidence and no witnesses, Ian has no choice but to turn to his former mentor, Paul Gallagher, for help. Now with a new lead, Ian expects to get closer to the truth. Instead, he comes face-to-face with a monster from his nightmares.

Now, with their one lead dead, a supernatural world to discover, and a strange power awakening within him, Ian must uncover the truth behind the victims, the killer, and the connection Paul has to both.

Every answer leads to more questions. And every step toward the truth brings Ian closer to discovering what he really is. But will Ian be able to stop the killer, or will Paul be the next name on the list?
