Marcus walked Into a kingdom, excluded, far away from the world. It was a small town and in the town, there was a mansion, so big and beautiful you would wonder how it is located far away in the deep forest.
He walked into the building, there a man was seated on a throne, he opened his eyes upon hearing Marcus footsteps, his red eyes lazily landed on Marcus as he approached his throne.
Marcus knelt down, he bowed his head. "My King, forgive me for being late." he said. The man's aura reeks of death and intimidation. Even though the man seated on the seat was a Vampire like Marcus, his aura was darker and scarier.
"Took you long enough to get here." He said with a wide smile across his face, his voice deep, dark and excluded power.
"I've been busy—" Marcus was interrupted by the man. "Busy with what exactly?" he asked, the smile on his face dropped. "I hope you're here with relevant information." he asked, his eyes glimmering dangerously.
Marcus felt sweat form on his head. "I cannot promise you the information I have is irrelevant but I have been in the King's place for the past days." Before he finished his sentence, he noticed a presence behind him.
The man knelt down behind Marcus, he held his chin and lifted his head up, he leaned his head closer to Marcus's. "And Serena?" He asked. "I am sure you have her with you?" he whispered.
Marcus felt his heart beat fast, his breath thay fanned his neck made beads of sweat form around his neck area. "Unfortunately I don't have the girl with me." He said, his voice was a little shaky. He was given one job and it was to capture Serena and bring her back to him but he didn't know how he screwed the job and she ended up with the least person he expected.
Marcus felt the Mysterious Man's hand wrap around his neck, gripping it with force. He stood up pulling Marcus up with him. Marcus struggled for air and withing seconds Marcus was slammed against the wall. A dent forming on it as the debris fell from above, Marcus coughed out blood.
He walked towards Marcus grabbing his collar. He gritted his teeth in anger, the annoying vampire wouldn't even let him explain. He gets crazy when Serena was not with him.
"You mean to tell me that Serena isn't with you?" He asked, his teeth gnashed in anger. He looked like a ticking time bomb, his face red in anger, he looked like he would explode any time soon. It was not a pleasant sight.
He took in a deep breath to calm down. "What happened?" he asked.
"I was lucky enough to find her in the auction room and got her, those stupid traders could not keep her locked, she managed to escape and somehow convinced Alexander to buy her and Alexander bought her." Marcus explained, he ran his hands through his already messy hair. Marcus knew it didn't make sense, the last time he was in contact with the man, he told him he has already bought the girl and then Alexander bought her. Nothing that ever involved Alexander made sense.
"Alexander!" The man said, his nose flared in anger , his skin grew pale, his eyes turned blood red, his nails extended into claws and his fangs shot out.
Marcus realised he was still held by the man. And he had just pissed off a powerful vampire, he was quick to verify himself. "I understand how stupid it sounds but Alexander dosen't know of her identity so it doesn't matter for now." His voice flared, he tried to calm down, his voice wavering in fear.
"Do you think Alexander is stupid enough to not figure it out soon enough." His voice roared like thunder, the building shaking, debris falling down due to the coldness of his voice.
"I understand, I have things under control, I just need some time—"
"I don't give a fuck about your excuses, time is what we lack Marcus?" he barked out, the building shaking under the impact of his voice. "What did Alexander take her as? A servant?" he asked, his eyes staring deep into Marcus.
Marcus shrugged. "I don't know but she is definitely not a servant, the way he treats her is different, maybe a mistress." He said. It was a mystery to him why Alexander kept her so close to him, is she that special to him or could it be that he has already figured out her true identity but even though Alexander would have killed her or drank her dry if he did.
"A mistress?" The man said, the burning anger bubbling in him, a mistress, Alexander couldn't. He let go of Marcus and turned his back on him.
"Alexander wouldn't take her as a mistress, he never had that in him." The man said.
"It's been over a century, do you not think the king would have feelings for her, besides Serena is a very attractive woman and.. " Marcus said fixing his jacket and dusting the dust and debris away from his shoulders. He received a sharp glare from the man shutting him up instantly. Silence passed between them.
"You should go back to the palace. We do not want Alexander to begin to suspect you." He stated, he walked towards his chair and sat down.
"What about the rogue?" he asked. "Should we halt the experiment?" Since they couldn't have Serena, he see no need for the experiment to take place.
"No! Let the rogues roam free, we would not give Alexander a moment peace, he would get the repercussions of his actions." He barked.
Marcus nodded, he bowed his head before leaving the room. The man felt a ringing noise in his head, He held his head in anger, the image of Alexander and Serena being together made him crazy. Just then a a servant walked in.
"Your highness are you okay?" She asked. Within seconds, she was pushed to the wall aggressively. She let out a painful grunt.
"Forgive me—" She couldn't complete her sentence when his fangs burried deep into the crook of her neck, she tried to push him away but she couldn't. All the blood began to drain from her body, she grew pale and pale.
He pulled his fangs out and she fell to the ground lifeless. He'll make sure she is his weakness and when that time comes, he'll take everything Alexander ever loved from him and make it his worst nightmare.
Serena is mine and mine alone... I'll do whatever it takes to make her mine.
He let out a maniac laugh. His voice echoed through the room.
