Danzo has passed away from Heart Attack.
Rin mentally cheered. And was worried.
This was clearly due to Death Note.
So, Death Note works despite this being a different universe.
How and why? She doesn't know.
Is there any connection between the Shinigamis of Death Note world and Naruto world? Afterall, her world does have Shinigami.
The funeral was quite basic due to this being the middle of war.
Not many people came, and even those who came most likely wanted to give Third Hokage some face.
In fact, aside from Third Hokage, others don't really seem sad about it. Even the other two old advisors.
In fact, the stand-ins for Nara, Yamanaka and Aburame clan heads even seem relieved.
Imagine how much everyone must have hated Danzo that even more experienced can't keep their true feelings from appearing in their body language.
Well, Uchiha clan head's stand-in, Mikoto is keeping her face really straight.
And as for her friend, Kushina, she is practically shining.
Rin whispered to Kushina, "He must have been quite hated huh?"
"Shh!"
Minato shut her up with a glance. Even Kushina sheepishly started trying to keep a straight face.
Anyway, Rin was rightfully concerned about the situation.
Doesn't this mean that Yuri can just kill anyone with Death Note?
So why didn't she kill Obito as well?
Since both she and Yuri were the same person in their previous life, she might be thinking that Madara and Obito are necessary evil for peace after Fourth Ninja War, and for Naruto and Sasuke to get their Six-Paths power-ups.
But shouldn't Yuri be a little bit concerned about Rin?
Madara's puppet doesn't necessarily have to be Obito, does he?
Even if Obito is killed, Madara will just find someone else.
So... it seems that Yuri doesn't care. And as she spends her time with Death Note, Rim womdered how she will change.
Anyway, she must absolutely not tell her that cross-world Death Note works. It will be too much of a risk.
After the funeral ended, Team 7 was called in Hokage Office.
But not for Gyarados.
"Kakashi, congratulations. You are promoted to the rank of Jonin."

Rin quickly realised why Kakashi was being promoted at such a time. Though Kakashi does have the strength of a low level newbie Jonin for a while, he absolutely doesn't have the mentality for it.
He isn't suitable for leading a squad like Jonin. There is no other reason for promoting him from Special Jonin to Jonin at this age other than having him lead two Chunins.
So, THAT mission is finally here.
And Kakashi didn't really get his Jonin vest, just like we don't even have Chunin vests.
Budget of the village is running quite low right now.
"Kakashi, congratulations!"
Rin still congratulated Kakashi.
"Uggh! Atleast promote me to Special Jonin. I have Sharingan now!"
Obito showed-off his two-tomoe Sharingan.
"Obito. Behave in front of Hokage-sama."
Minato scolded him, but Obito still hmph'ed and sulked.
Hiruzen handed Minato a mission scroll, and after reading it, he said, "Meet me in my house in 2 hours. We are leaving for a mission."

Afterall, meeting at the gate will just be telling the spies that Minato is leaving the village.
It's war time afterall.
Everyone went to their home to get ready, and Rin sighed as she thought of an additional plan to secure her survival.
She hasn't really tried inventing anything yet using the Peter Intellect she got so as to not appear more suspicious that she already is due to her Pokemon.
Anyway, maybe it will work. Maybe not.
But trying wouldn't hurt.
