Whether in the Supreme Kai Realm or the God of Destruction Realm, items like Spirit Fruits were actually everywhere.
However…
Their effects varied greatly depending on who consumed them.
If an ordinary Earthling like Bulma ate one, it would probably increase her combat power by no more than ten thousand.
Ten thousand battle power—forget flying.
With that much strength, Bulma could easily destroy a planet if she wanted to.
"Bulma, try eating it," Gran said, giving her a look.
"Okay."
Bulma glanced at Beerus and Whis.
Since neither of the two gods objected, it should be fine.
"Crunch."
Bulma took a bite of the Spirit Fruit.
The very next second
Boom!
A powerful aura erupted from her body. Judging by its intensity, it was roughly ten thousand battle power.
"My body… feels so swollen!"
As she spoke, her body suddenly expanded again.
Now she looked like a two-hundred-pound female strongman.
"Hahahaha!"
Watching a perfectly attractive girl suddenly turn into this, Gran completely lost it. He clutched his stomach and burst into laughter.
Beerus was also amused by Bulma's appearance—but as a lofty God of Destruction, he couldn't afford to lose face. He forcibly suppressed his laughter.
"Stop laughing! What's happening to me?!" Bulma said anxiously.
All she felt was her body swelling nonstop, as if it might burst apart at any moment.
"This is the price you pay for wanting to fly," Gran said calmly.
"But don't worry—after some time, you'll return to normal."
Without saying anything more, Gran turned and walked toward the dining hall with Beerus and the others.
"Gran, what am I supposed to do now?!"
Watching Gran's retreating back, Bulma felt like crying.
Seeing that Gran completely ignored her, Bulma stomped her foot in frustration.
But her power had increased too suddenly—she couldn't control it at all.
With a single step, she punched straight through the ground.
"..."
Bulma slowly pulled her foot back and stared at the footprint she'd left behind, stunned.
Is this… really my power?
Bulma wasn't stupid.
She immediately realized—she probably could fly now.
"Damn it, Gran! You didn't even warn me about this side effect. But how am I supposed to fly, anyway?"
With lingering confusion, Bulma carefully followed them into the dining hall.
The moment she stepped inside
A servant nearby asked,
"Excuse me, miss strongwoman, may I—"
Before he could finish
Bulma exploded.
"Who are you calling a strongwoman?!" she shouted, pointing at her own face.
"You don't even recognize your Second Young Miss anymore?!"
After yelling that, she cautiously continued walking into the hall.
The servant stared blankly at her back.
"That's not right… how did the Second Young Miss suddenly turn into a female strongman?"
Hearing this, Bulma stumbled—and once again stomped straight through the dining hall floor.
"Fix it later!"
She shouted that back at the servant, her face burning red as she hurried to the dining table.
The table was already covered with all kinds of delicacies, and many servants stood behind it holding trays.
"Gran, it smells so good!"
"You brat—you're the one who smells good!"
"Whis, try this one. It still tastes amazing."
"Oh~ delicious, truly delicious."
"..."
The two Saiyans ate like starving ghosts, plate after plate disappearing into their mouths.
Beerus and Whis had been visiting Earth frequently over the past two years, so their eating manners weren't nearly as exaggerated as Gran's.
Bulma sat on a chair nearby, resting her chin in her hands, quietly watching this group of gods eat.
An hour passed.
Gran finally slowed down a little. Just as he reached for a drink
"Gran, how exactly am I supposed to fly?"
Bulma couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Once you adapt to the power in your body, gather it beneath your feet. Then you'll be able to fly."
Gran explained her condition in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
Right now, Bulma merely possessed power—she couldn't control it at all.
Once her bulky body returned to normal, she would naturally adapt.
"Of course," Gran added casually, taking a sip of his drink,
"since you've never trained, you'll end up using ki in a very crude way—just like the trash floating around outside the universe."
Trash?
Bulma was speechless.
This Candidate God of Destruction really knew how to annoy people.
She puffed out her cheeks.
"Then what exactly is ki?"
"Simply put, ki is a person's strength," Gran said, lowering his head as he stuffed a chicken leg into his mouth.
"The power that just surged through you can also be called ki."
"You're not a martial artist. Honestly, you don't need to understand all this. Once you have that power, give it some time—you'll naturally learn how to fly."
And Gran wasn't wrong.
Unlike Videl in the anime, Bulma wasn't weak at all now.
With over ten thousand battle power, the ki inside her was terrifyingly strong. Flying would be easy—she just needed a bit of practice.
"But…"
Gran looked up and smiled.
"You should be careful. The power inside you is already enough to threaten Earth. If you don't want to blow up the planet, you'd better tread lightly for a while."
"What?!"
Bulma's eyes widened as she stared at her own hands.
Had her power really reached that level?
Beerus paused mid-bite and snorted coldly.
"If you blow up my Earth, I'll make you regret it."
Bulma: "..."
"Fine," Gran sighed.
"I'll be a good guy to the end. Whis, give her a set of gravity clothes as well."
He looked toward Whis.
Whis nodded, raised his hand, and summoned his staff. With a light tap toward Bulma
A set of clothing identical to Gran's appeared on her body.
The sudden increase in gravity shattered her chair instantly, sending her sprawling face-first onto the floor.
Seeing her miserable state, Gran laughed again.
"With this gravity suit, you'll be able to control your power much more easily."
The only reason Gran had Whis do this was to help Bulma adapt quickly to her current strength.
As for giving her absolute control over her power—or making her train seriously
Gran had never even considered it.
Bulma was a top-tier scientist, not a cultivator.
"It's… so heavy…" Bulma whimpered from the floor.
"Gran, can you help me up?"
Gran went back to eating dinner, completely ignoring her.
Beerus and Whis did the same, leaving her sprawled there.
"A bunch of awful gods… hmph!"
Bulma muttered resentfully to herself as she slowly struggled to her feet.
The dining hall fell quiet.
Two more hours passed.
Finally, Gran and little Broly finished eating.
Beerus looked at Gran.
"Come outside. I want to see the results of your training over the past two years."
"..."
Gran was speechless.
If you want to beat me up, just say so.
But still…
He followed him out.
