"Really?!"
Bulma, who had still been feeling a little aggrieved just moments ago, instantly lit up with excitement.
"Of course it's real."
Gran nodded, a faint smile forming at the corner of his lips.
"Though if your wish is something like a white-horse prince, then forget it."
"..."
This Candidate God of Destruction was so annoying—why did he insist on dragging up her embarrassing past at every turn?
Bulma shook her head vigorously.
"I'm an adult now, okay? I'm not that childish anymore!"
Bulma had been born in Age 733.
Now, in Age 751, she was exactly eighteen years old.
"Then what do you want to wish for?" Gran asked, intrigued.
He was genuinely curious—what kind of wish would this girl make?
"Well…"
Bulma timidly raised two pale, slender fingers and spoke cautiously.
"Um, Gran… can I be a little greedy? Is it okay if I make two wishes?"
"Say them first," Gran replied, not rejecting her outright.
"My first wish… is to stay young forever."
As she said it, Bulma looked a little embarrassed.
Just as expected, Gran thought, suppressing a laugh.
But eternal youth was something every girl dreamed of—it wasn't strange at all.
"Gran… can you grant it? Please~"
Bulma moved behind Gran and tried to massage his shoulders, putting on an exaggeratedly flattering act.
Unfortunately, Gran's heavy gravity armor made it impossible for her to even reach his shoulders.
Just as Gran was about to respond
He suddenly lifted his head.
"They're here."
"They?"
Bulma froze for a second, then immediately realized who he meant.
Sure enough, a streak of seven-colored light descended rapidly from the sky.
Beerus and Whis arrived.
The moment Beerus landed, the oppressive aura radiating from him bent Bulma at the waist.
Beerus glanced at his "caretaker" and promptly withdrew his pressure.
Gran and Beerus locked eyes, and the atmosphere instantly became subtle.
Whis's eyelid twitched.
These two aren't about to start fighting again… are they?
It wasn't an unreasonable worry.
Every time Gran made a breakthrough, he would overestimate himself and challenge Beerus.
And every time, without exception, he was brutally beaten.
Whis was just about to reach for his temporal staff
"Lord Beerus, Whis. Long time no see."
Gran raised a hand and greeted them.
"???"
Beerus and Whis exchanged looks.
This brat didn't challenge him?
How rare.
"Long time no see."
Beerus stepped forward and lightly punched Gran in the chest.
"Not bad. In just two years, you managed to refine Destruction energy to the rule level. I'm very satisfied."
Whis smiled gently.
"I'm satisfied as well."
"Hehe."
Being praised by the two of them felt oddly similar to being praised by one's parents.
Gran's pride overflowed uncontrollably, the corners of his mouth rising.
Very quickly
"Hahahaha!"
Gran planted his hands on his hips and laughed loudly, looking both foolish and guileless.
Beerus and Whis: "..."
Bulma covered her mouth, stifling a laugh.
The Candidate God of Destruction-sama is actually kind of cute.
"How does it feel?" Beerus said, draping an arm over Gran's shoulder, his expression full of approval.
Gran didn't brush the hand away. His tone turned serious.
"Before I reached the rule level, I already thought Destruction energy was terrifying. But once I truly cultivated it to that level… I realized the difference is incomparable."
"Of course," Beerus snorted.
"The Rule of Destruction is a cosmic law. How could your previous, half-baked destructive power ever compare?"
"Hehe."
Gran casually slung an arm over Beerus's shoulder, grinning shamelessly.
"If even I needed this long to reach the rule level, then the Candidate Gods of Destruction from other universes are definitely doomed."
"That's right," Beerus laughed.
"When the time comes, you'd better beat them senseless—just like I did back then…"
The two walked toward the dining hall, arms around each other like brothers, chatting as they went.
Whis and little Broly followed behind.
Gran seemed to have forgotten something.
Bulma instantly grew anxious and hurriedly called out:
"Gran! What about what you promised me?!"
The moment she spoke
Everyone stopped.
Beerus froze and tightened his arm around Gran.
"What did you promise her?"
Gran replied irritably,
"Just eternal youth. That's all."
Beerus's eyes widened.
He hadn't expected his own disciple to agree to something like that.
Whis also looked at Gran with a strange expression.
"Hey—what's with those looks?" Gran snapped, pushing Beerus away.
"Let me ask you something."
"Ask."
"While I was away cultivating the Rule of Destruction… how many times did you come to Earth?"
"..."
Beerus and Whis's gazes drifted.
Gran sneered.
"If I'm not wrong, every time you were free, you came here to freeload food from Bulma, didn't you?"
Silence again.
Their expressions were undeniably awkward.
"Didn't you always say that anyone who provides food to gods deserves privileges?" Gran folded his arms, smirking.
"Bulma's been feeding you nonstop, and you don't even want to give anything back? You're not embarrassed?"
"Or what—are you two gods planning to freeload forever?"
"Cough, cough!"
Beerus cleared his throat and said stiffly,
"Freeloading is an insult to a gourmet. I've paid her plenty of times, you know!"
"So you're just freeloading off Bulma instead?"
"What nonsense!" Beerus flared up.
"I'm a God of Destruction—would I really do something like that?!"
With that, Beerus barked, "Whis!"
Whis, clearly embarrassed himself, gently tapped his staff.
A soft glow flowed into Bulma's body, and warmth spread through her.
"Bulma," Gran chuckled,
"you now have eternal youth."
"Ah?!"
Bulma shrieked in excitement.
Eternal youth!
She pulled out a small mirror from somewhere and examined herself from every angle.
"Hahaha! I'll be eighteen forever!"
She hopped around joyfully.
Has this girl lost her mind…
Gran rubbed his forehead and continued,
"Didn't you say there was a second wish? Whis is still here—go ahead and say it."
Whis's lips twitched.
This girl was indeed a little greedy—but he decided to hear her out first.
Bulma quickly calmed herself. Clutching her skirt, she asked timidly,
"Gran… can you let me fly on my own?"
Every time Gran carried her, it felt like she was being lifted like a baby chicken.
It was just too embarrassing.
"That's it?"
Gran was dumbfounded.
He'd thought she might ask for eternal life—that would've been instantly rejected by Whis.
"Huh? Is that wish not okay?" Bulma asked, disappointed.
"It's fine," Gran replied.
"This doesn't even require Whis—I can do it myself."
Gran tossed out a Capsule, and a warehouse instantly appeared on the ground.
He opened it, selected a crimson fruit, and tossed it to Bulma.
"Here."
After putting the warehouse away, he explained,
"This is a fruit eaten by gods—the Spirit Fruit. Once you eat it, you'll be able to fly freely."
