RILEY'S POV
The restaurant hadn't changed much... still elegant and upscale, perched on the Sydney cliffs with soft lights glowing against the darkening sky.
I took a deep breath, steadying my nerves, and stepped inside.
The host greeted me with a polite smile. "Good evening, miss. Do you have a reservation?"
"Yes," I replied, my voice steadier than I felt. "I'm meeting someone, Alpha Logan Cambridge."
"Ah, Alpha Cambridge. Right this way, please."
I followed him through the dimly lit dining room, past tables with quiet conversations and clinking glasses.
My heart pounded harder with each step, the familiar hum of jazz music pulling up old memories I wasn't ready for.
Logan was already at a secluded table in the back, looking as sharp and put-together as ever in a dark shirt that hugged his broad shoulders. He stood when he saw me, pulling out my chair with a nod.
"Thanks," I said quietly, sitting down.
