RILEY'S POV
I left my room with my jaw set, determined to ask Callum straight if he'd really fixed the mess from the lobby like he claimed.
As I headed for the living room, Dad's voice drifted out... warm and full of pride.
"Callum, I'm impressed with how you stepped up," he said cheerfully. "You handled everything just right when it counted."
I stepped into the room and saw them there... Dad and Callum on the couch, Dad smiling wide. Callum leaned back, looking pleased with himself, soaking it in.
Dad spotted me, and his face changed fast to a frown.
"Riley," he said sharply, "you could take a page from your brother's book. He dealt with the company's problem like a pro... quick and smart. That's the kind of lead we need if you're going to hold this pack together."
A twist of anger hit my chest, but I kept my face even. "I was actually coming to ask him about that. Did you really sort it out, Callum?"
