" Awooo!" Ethan's body slowly began to change, his eyes turning black as his body grew to a size twice the height of an average man.
" No! He's changing! But that's too early!" Amon exclaimed in surprise and shock. He hadn't expected this too happen.
Suddenly, Ethan became a full blown werewolf!
" Awooo!"
" Bad, bad, bad. Something has gone terribly wrong!" Amon yelled in alarm, his eyes twisting with confusion.
Ethan didn't feel the world at first.
He only felt the pain.
A searing burn in his chest that spread into every limb, every bone, every thought. The forest blurred, the stars streaked, and his heartbeat hammered like a war drum inside a cracked skull.
"Ethan—STOP. You must STOP!"
Amon's voice boomed inside his head, but it sounded distant, distorted, like an echo through water.
Ethan couldn't stop.
His claws tore into the soil as he staggered forward on all fours, breath ragged, eyes pitch-black and vacant. A raw howl ripped out of his throat—nothing like a wolf's. It was something older, something that didn't belong in this world.
Then—
Boom.
A pulse of purple-black energy exploded from his chest, shredding the ground and knocking over small trees like they were toys.
He didn't notice It.
He couldn't.
He only felt hunger.
The type no human mind could process.
" Awooo!" Ethan rushed into the forest frantically, his mind hazy with only one thought clear.
Kill! Eat! Survive!
" What could be wrong with him, he shouldn't be able to transform yet, at least not until he's an Alpha. He should currently be in wolf form at most!" Amon felt like his brain was being strained, as he accelerated his thinking as fast as he could.
But while the wolf god thought if a reason, Ethan had already succumbed to it.
Racing through the forest in his huge werewolf form, he dashed around like a mad animal whose veins were coursing too much with adrenaline.
Rustle.
A small twig broke about ten yards away from where he stood, but he was clearly able to hear it, his senses heightened to the level of the ultimate predator.
But the thing was....a twig couldn't break itself, someone—no, something, must have stepped on it!
" Awooo!" Ethan's eyes became filled with blood lust at the thought of finally finding something he could kill.
" Child, don't you dare take a step forward. If I only I could leave to cast a bind skill! " Amon called out from behind, his face covered in frustration. He had always been with him, and he couldn't leave, not because he didn't want to but because he couldn't.
He was a part of Ethan, and so he was unable to stay far away from him. If Ethan moved, then he did too, but if by some way he was able to pass that boundary and move further from Ethan, then his soul would completely disperse.
On the other hand, after hearing the twig snap, Ethan's mind went into overdrive, as his body sped through the trees and branches and immediately arrived at where the sound had come from.
In front of him, a deer stood, watching the beast that had appeared In front of it intensely.
" Raaah!" Ethan roared at the animal, causing it to turn and run the other way. But it was slower than the beast Ethan.
In a flash, he struck out his claws and rained down a barrage of strikes on the animal, causing it immediate death.
But he didn't stop there, he gorged out the animal and tore it to pieces, placing it's bloodied body whole in his mouth, and swallowing it whole!
But he didn't stop there, the hunger had only be satiated a little, and there was still a need for more.
More!
More blood!
" Awooo!" He howled right at the moon, his howl reaching all corners of the forest. He looked to Amon, his eyes red with blood lust and ran.
He ran like the wind, as he tore through the forest with utter sped and might!
" Awooo!"
Ethan's rampage went on continuously, and everytime he saw an animal, he would kill and eat.
Kill.
Eat.
Kill.
Eat.
The cycle continued for so long Amon began to get annoyed.
" He cannot continue like this. Eventually the animals in the forest would ni longer be sufficient and he might start killing humans outside," Amon said with an aggravated look on his face. One seemingly so scary a lion would turn tails and run from him.
" I cannot let such happen. He can't begin to kill humans....not yet, not now. There's only one way: Ethan, you owe me your soul after this!"
Amon's body slowly dissipated back into cosmic smoke. It moved towards Ethan, wrapping itself around the raging wolf and binded him in place.
" Wwrrrraaaghh!" Ethan squirmed and tussled around, trying his best to break the binding put on him, but no matter how hard he tried, it was futile, he couldn't break off the smoke.
" Ethan, you shall experience pain beyond the boundaries of humans.... please —don't die," Amon said, as he placed his consciousness inside of Ethan's body and moved deeper and deeper into his being.
He arrived at the heart, and spread starlight all over it.
He went to the brain and slowly began activating all of Ethan's chakra.
Boom!
And then he saw it.
A battle.
A light with both a black and a white side was seen in his vision. That was Ethan's soul. The part where his soul is merged with Ethan's.
Amon's soul was as black and dark as night itself, but Ethan's was white, revealing the innocence he tries to hide away.
" Now I see, that's the problem,"
In front of Ethan's soul, a blue thread stood, battling an opposing red one. These threads were the world streams, with the blue being the werewolf world stream and the red...a mystery.
" Ethan is still half human and not fully a werewolf, so of course when he tries to gain the werewolf world stream, he also gained a world stream for humans! And now both are in a constant battle as to which would be superior! And as such is creating chaos within his body!" Amon exclaimed, realization dawning on him.
" Now that I know the problem, there's only solution," The eyes of the night god, which were once just like any normal eyes suddenly changed.
A black light slowly covering the white parts of his eyes, completely turning it abysmal black.
" Pain shall occur. But you must not die!" He said, as he grabbed bithe threads and forcefully merged them with his soul.
Aaaaaaaaaahhbhhhhhggggg!!! Ethan's scream rang throughout the forest, creating a large shockwave among the trees and casting off leaves from them.
Pain ran through his body, his eyes giving way to tears, as his body rolled all around the ground in search of something... anything.
Anything to save him from the agony he was facing.
" Amon stop!" Through the pain, rationality forced it's way back, as he pleaded forbthe night god to stop whatever he was doing.
" Hold on child! Just a little longer!" Amon gritted his teeth as he kept on pushing the threads deeper and deeper into his soul, causing more pain to occur.
" I can't do it! I can't last any longer!!! Aaaahhg!" His screams of agony would be able to break glass at this point, as every animal in the area were suddenly running away out of fear.
" Almost there!" Amon exclaimed, as a vein bulged by the side of his head and his teeth glistened with grit.
With one last push he thrusted the threads into the soul!
" Nooo! Aaaahhg!" A black surge of energy flew out of his body, but he was too much I pain to realize it.
But as Amon was done, the pain was slowing dispersing, and in that moment, Ethan fainted.
Amon slowly receded from Ethan's body, trying his best to retain his form of a cosmic wolf.
He had expended a great deal of soul energy to complete this task, and he wasn't going to be able to gain back that energy.
Now his body was smaller, weaker, just up to the level of an average human now. He looked down at Ethan's body and saw him breathing heavily, as sweat merged him and his clothes together almost like skin.
" You survived today boy, but next time you might not be so lucky. Get strong, and nothing would be able to affect you."
" Get stronger, and nothing shall cross your path without fear"
" Become the strongest and even the so called world streams would beg for you to chose them without problems, as gods now to your mere name,"
" But, you can't surpass me, even if you tried," his body then flew back into his mind, returning the forest to the serenity it once held.
