Chapter 109 - Chapter 108: Sasuke Village

"Amaterasu. Tsukuyomi. Susanoo. Kagutsuchi. Kotoamatsukami."

Sarada stared at the four towering half-bodied Susanoo before her, thoughts swirling in her mind.

Are these the abilities granted by their respective Mangekyō Sharingan?

Her gaze shifted toward the distance, where Boruto and Menma were locked in fierce combat.

Around her, Madara, Fugaku, Itachi, and Shisui stood silently — each lost in thought.

Fugaku scowled inwardly. What in the world is this Menma plotting? To make us fight my own granddaughter — and even force us to activate Susanoo?!

Shisui mused quietly, According to Menma, Sarada can replicate the powers of the Mangekyō Sharingan.

If that's true, she's copied our abilities too… I wonder, what would happen if she used "Kotoamatsukami" on me?

Madara, arms crossed and eyes sharp, snorted coldly. Hmph. This Menma has gone too far — controlling the four of us to simultaneously activate Susanoo against her? Outrageous.

Sarada frowned, glancing between the four motionless Susanoo.

"Strange… why aren't they attacking me?"

Her eyes lingered on the massive constructs — one blue, one black, one green, and one orange.

That green Susanoo's user, the masked man, must possess "Kotoamatsukami." Can I use it to control one of them?

But another thought immediately followed. 'Kotoamatsukami' can only be used once… so who should I target?

Her right Mangekyō Sharingan was still bleeding, but the pain no longer mattered.

Her eyes flicked toward Boruto, still battling fiercely against Menma.

Each clash between them exploded with bursts of chakra, sending ripples across the lake.

There's no time. I have to act now.

Taking a deep breath, Sarada's right eye flared with light.

"Kotoamatsukami!" she cried.

Instantly, the Reincarnation Spiritual Orb within Fugaku's body shattered.

He froze, frowning. "Why do I feel like… something's vanished inside me?"

Sarada watched him nervously, her heartbeat quickening.

Did it work?

She pointed toward Shisui. "Hit him!"

But Fugaku didn't move — standing still as if nothing had changed.

Did it fail? Or is "Kotoamatsukami" useless against other Mangekyō users?

Her heart sank. Another useless ocular jutsu…

What Sarada didn't know was that "Kotoamatsukami" had worked — but it had already exhausted its power earlier when releasing the control over Boruto's Reincarnation Spiritual Orb.

It could no longer affect Edo Tensei-revived Mangekyō users.

"Forgive me, Sarada," said Itachi's calm voice as his Susanoo raised a massive sword, swinging it down toward her.

"Itachi! You unfilial son!" Fugaku roared. "You dare raise your hand against my granddaughter?!"

His black Susanoo formed its own great sword and charged forward, colliding violently with Itachi's.

Boom!

The impact shook the lake, waves exploding outward as the two colossal avatars clashed.

"What… happened?" Sarada gasped. "Did 'Kotoamatsukami' actually work?"

Even Boruto, watching from afar, frowned in thought. Fugaku's spiritual orb broke… Was that Sarada's doing?

"Father, why are you attacking me?" Itachi asked, blocking another swing.

"You unfilial brat! I've wanted to cut you down for a long time!" Fugaku bellowed, his Susanoo's eyes burning red.

The battlefield erupted into chaos as father and son fought, their chakra blades splitting the lake in two.

Sarada could only stare. Father and son… fighting each other? Just like Uchiha Shin and his clones…

At that moment, Boruto, still struggling against Menma, took notice of the confusion and smirked inwardly.

Forget it. I've already replicated the ability — time to end this.

Menma's attack sent Boruto flying back toward Sarada.

He fell to one knee, panting for effect.

"Boruto! Are you alright?" Sarada rushed to his side, worry filling her voice.

"I'm fine," he said, breathing hard. "But this guy's strong… I can't beat him."

Sarada's eyes darted toward Menma and the four colossal Susanoo behind him.

What should I do? His speed is unreal. Even with space-time ninjutsu, I might not escape in time.

Menma raised his hand, halting Fugaku's movement with a gesture.

"The Hokage's son… truly fragile. Your capacity is pitiful."

Boruto's eyes narrowed. "Whether it's enough or not — that's not for you to decide!"

Menma ignored him. "Uninteresting. You're far too weak."

"Why do you want to steal our eyes?!" Sarada demanded, glaring at him and the four Susanoo behind him.

"Because…" Menma paused, then smiled. "No. You're not worthy of that knowledge."

With that, a swirling, purplish-black portal opened behind him.

Madara and the others dismissed their Susanoo, leaping into the spatial rift one after another — vanishing into the void.

"Damn it!" Sarada stomped her foot, furious.

Turning to Boruto, she said, "Those people might be clones — like Uchiha Shin."

"They can even use Susanoo! What should we do? Should we tell Uncle Naruto?"

Boruto shook his head. "No. That Menma guy is too strong. Even my dad might not be a match for him."

"Even Lord Seventh can't beat him?" Sarada's voice wavered. "Then what do we do? He said he wants our eyes…"

Boruto cut her off, his tone steady and resolute. "We can't win now — maybe not for a long time. But if we keep training, keep getting stronger… we will defeat him someday."

A warmth spread through Sarada's chest. She smiled softly.

"You're right, Boruto. We'll become stronger — together."

A Few Days Later

In a quiet forest outside Konohagakure, a spatial ripple shimmered in the air.

Moments later, a body fell from it — motionless.

It was Sasuke Uchiha.

He lay still for a long time before slowly opening his eyes. Pushing himself up with weak arms, he surveyed his surroundings, confusion clouding his expression.

"Where… is this place?" he muttered.

Then he noticed something strange — his left arm.

"This is… an arm cultivated with Hashirama Cells?"

His eyes widened in disbelief as he flexed his fingers. His skin was pale white, pulsing with immense life energy and chakra.

Touching his face, he murmured, "My Rinnegan… it's gone?"

He clenched his fist. "What do they want? To take my Rinnegan, but not kill me?"

A long, weary sigh escaped his lips. "So… that's their plan."

"Without the Rinnegan, I can't continue exploring Kaguya's relics."

He turned toward the distant horizon, his expression hardening. "I need to return to the village — and warn Naruto."

He paused, whispering to himself, "At this rate… the Fifth Great Shinobi War might already be on the horizon."
