Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 – The Festival Announcement

Jayjay's POV

The assembly hall was colder than I remembered.

Rows of students filled every seat — from Section A all the way down to us, Section E, sitting right at the end where we could see everything. Keifer sat on my right, Yuri next to him, and Adrian and Ciel at the end.

Everyone quieted when the directors walked in — five of them, each holding a folder like it contained the world's secrets.

One of them, the same gray-haired man who always gave the "school values" speech, cleared his throat and said,

"Students, thank you for attending this month's general assembly."

I rested my chin on my palm. Here we go again.

He continued,

"As you all know, this meeting helps us share updates, resolve section issues, and prepare for upcoming events. Now, for the main announcement."

The second director — a woman in sharp glasses — stepped forward.

"Next week, we'll be holding our One-Week School Festival. Each section will take part in the organization, performances, and activities."

Gasps and whispers filled the hall instantly. Someone behind me squealed.

The woman smiled faintly. "You'll decorate, host stalls, perform, and—" she paused for emphasis, "—work together as one school family. Each section must assign students to specific duties. The list will be released after this assembly."

I heard Ciel whisper softly beside Adrian, "A festival? That sounds amazing!"

She looked like she could barely stay in her seat.

But then, the next line made almost everyone in our row groan.

"And as usual," the gray-haired director added, "Section E will handle trash and waste management for this year's festival."

Keifer leaned back with an expression that said of course.

Yuri muttered, "We've got the best luck in the world."

Adrian chuckled, "At least we're consistent."

The director raised a brow but didn't comment. He just continued with a few rules about clean-up times, safety, and participation points before wrapping up.

When the assembly finally ended, every section stood and started talking at once.

I glanced at Keifer as we walked out. He was quiet, lost in thought.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

He blinked, then smiled a little. "Just thinking. We'll need a plan — not just for the cleanup, but for how Section E shows up this time."

"Hmm?" I tilted my head. "Like, you mean… a performance?"

"Something like that," he said, his tone turning sly. "We're not just the 'trash crew' this year."

I smiled, that familiar confidence of his pulling me in.

Adrian overheard and said, "Count me in. If we're doing this, we're doing it big."

Ciel nodded quickly, her eyes bright. "Yes! We can actually make it fun this year."

Yuri smirked. "Oh, it's gonna be chaos. I love it already."

We all laughed as we exited the hall, a small group with a big reputation.

Even if the school saw us as the trouble section — this time, we'd make sure they remembered Section E for something else.

Something legendary.
