Adrian's POV – Hidden & Watching
I stayed tucked in a quiet corner of the gym, hidden from the chaos of yesterday's fans. Only the section E knew I was here. Safe. Out of reach. I had a perfect view of the court, seated in front with Kiefer.
Section E had made it to the finals against Section A. I could see every movement of our five players: Yuri, Mayo, Felix, Rory, and Kit. The first two quarters had gone smoothly, but my gut told me it was only a matter of time before Kiefer would call me in.
One of the players ( kit) got hit lightly and was carried off, but from here, I could tell he weren't seriously hurt. Of course, this is coming…
Ciel was standing nearby, giving me a thumbs up and that mysterious grin. I groaned internally. I know she's behind this.
Kiefer's POV – Section Captain Duties
I kept a close eye on the match, watching every play. Section E was holding its own, but I knew the team could use Adrian. Timing was everything.
When the moment came, I nodded subtly toward Adrian. "Time," I said under my breath, signaling him.
Adrian's POV – Stepping In
I hesitated. Do I really want to step into the chaos?
Kiefer's gaze was firm. No way out now.
I reluctantly stepped onto the court. The crowd hadn't noticed me yet—safe for now—but the moment I entered, a few sharp eyes caught me.
The referee blew the whistle, and the game resumed. Hiku-hiku, the sound of the ball bouncing against the floor, the squeak of sneakers, the roar of the players—it was all intense.
Section E started scoring steadily. I watched the clock nervously as the final seconds ticked down.
(Jayjay's) POV – Cheering & Observing
I leaned forward, eyes glued to Adrian. Ci-n and Ciel were beside me, quietly singing their funny little cheering songs just for themselves, not for the crowd. It was ridiculous and adorable, and I couldn't help grinning.
"He's so good, but he never wants to show it," I whispered to Kiefer.
He smirked. "That's Adrian. But today, he's being drawn out. And I think he's enjoying it more than he'll admit."
The crowd started noticing him now, cheering more:
"ADRIAN! ADRIAN! SECTION E!"
I laughed quietly. This was going to be chaotic after the match, I could tell.
Adrian's POV – The Winning Shot
Five seconds left on the clock. The ball came to me. My thoughts spun: Focus. Just… do it.
5…4…3…2…1…
I threw the ball with all my strength. Swish. Perfect.
The crowd exploded: "ADRIAN! ADRIAN! ADRIAN! SECTION E! Jay WARRIORS!"
The boys carried me off in celebration. I felt the adrenaline, excitement, and—annoyingly—the attention of fans closing in.
Before Ciel could even start blurting out my Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or phone number, I covered her mouth, whispering firmly, "Not a chance. You'll ruin everything."
She froze, slightly disappointed but understanding instantly. Good. Control maintained.
(Jayjay's) POV – Post-Game Chaos
The boys carried Adrian, chanting his name, while the girls from yesterday swarmed, trying to get any information.
I leaned to Kiefer. "See? That's why we're here. To make sure he shines without exposing himself too much."
Kiefer nodded, watching Adrian manage the chaos.
Ci-n and Ciel continued their private cheering songs, grinning at Adrian. They weren't performing for the crowd, just for him.
Section E had won the finals. Scores were high. Fans were ecstatic. Chaos reigned. And yet, Adrian remained in control, managing Ciel and his privacy with an expert balance of authority and charm.
