(Jayjay's POV)
Exam week. The two words that could make even the bravest members of Section E lose their minds.
The classroom was anything but quiet. Felix was waving his pen like a sword.
"I'm telling you, the answer is 12x + 1!" he shouted.
"It's 12x – 1, you math disaster!" David yelled back from his seat — even though he had just woken up from a nap.
Keifer had his head down, mumbling, "I give up," while Yuri flipped through pages with the patience of a monk.
Ciel was busy explaining formulas to anyone who would listen, which, honestly, wasn't many.
And then there was Valerie.
Sitting by the window, a pen in one hand and her book open, she was softly singing the notes of her history chapter like it was a pop song.
"'In nineteen sixty… three… the war began~'" she hummed in perfect rhythm.
At first, we all ignored her, but then she started adding beats by tapping her pen on the desk.
Before long, Ci-N joined in with a beatbox, and Felix started clapping.
"Hey! This isn't a concert hall!" I said, laughing.
Valerie just winked. "It's how I remember faster. Study jam, you know?"
Even Adrian cracked a smile from the corner, watching her quietly.
When I caught that, I elbowed Keifer. "Look, he's smiling again."
Keifer grinned. "Guess Valerie's songs work better than any motivation speech."
"Okay, class! Silence, everyone!" the teacher's voice came from the door, but it was too late — Ci-N was already half-dancing in his chair, Valerie still humming, and Felix pretending to conduct an orchestra with his pencil.
The teacher sighed deeply. "Section E… always the same."
The whole class burst into laughter, and even Adrian chuckled softly beside Valerie, who was now pretending to zip her lips.
It was chaotic, funny, and loud — but somehow, it felt normal again. After weeks of silence, this was exactly what we needed.
