David and Liana arrived at David office building. They entered through the basement to avoid drawing too much attention. Although David had changed clothes and looked fresh, the bruise on his cheek was still clearly visible.
They took the executive elevator. As the elevator door opened on their office floor, the professional atmosphere enveloped both of them once more.
"I'll prepare your breakfast in the room," Liana whispered.
"No need, I'll order from downstairs. You go straight to your desk," David replied. "I have an important meeting with the board of directors."
David walked towards his lavish office, while Liana returned to her desk. Chika and Bram immediately greeted Liana, curious about the drama that happened yesterday.
"Liana! Are you okay? What happened yesterday? Is Mr. David back?" Chika whispered.
"I'll explain later. I'm fine," Liana answered briefly, smiling reassuringly so her friends wouldn't worry, and then she quickly turned on her computer.
