"Liana... You... What are you doing?" David said, his voice choked and slightly hoarse. He closed the door behind him, his gaze fixed on Liana.
Liana smiled, a soft yet meaningful smile, a smile David had never seen in the office. She stepped forward, slowly approaching David.
"Welcome home, Mr. David," Liana whispered, her voice trembling slightly from nervousness, but she tried hard to stay calm. "This... this is my repayment gift to you, for everything you did today. And yesterday."
Liana placed the wine bottle on the nearest table, then wrapped her arms around David neck, pulling the man closer.
"Erik said you need something more valuable than money. And you said you didn't want to sleep alone tonight," Liana whispered again, her eyes staring intently at David. "I'm here."
