"Everyone on the deck!" Nami called out as the straw hat pirates jumped onto the ship. "We are going to leave now!" She said using her maple powers to already turn the ship around.
"Is everyone on the ship!" Aisa asked, looking over everyone. The small girl winched at seeing her friends and crewmates injured. "Where's Usopp and Gin?!"
Franky who was on the ship with them looked a bit confused at the unknown names. But didn't question it, he was too tired right now.
"I am Groot!" the small tree creature said, pointing at the island. Essentially telling her that Law, went to get them. On the tree creature's side, something was wrapped around in a thick set of vines, but no one asked what it was. Too busy with other things.
And it wasn't like Groot was the only one who brought something to the ship before leaving. The others also took what they could from the enemy, they did win a war against them. So it was kind of their right to take stuff from the losers. Nami also didn't forget to loot trapped marines for any berries while the crew was out fighting.
But who could blame her, a girl had to keep herself busy in some way.
Aisa's eyes were already teary, before coming over and hugging Groot with tears rolling down his eyes, "I thought we lost you!" she cried, not being able to hold back anymore. "I'm sorry for being weak!!!"
Groot blinked and didn't know what to say as the small girl cried, "I am Groot! I am Groot!" he tried to consolidate.
The others in the crew smiled at the kids as Franky sat down on the deck leaning on a barrel, too tired to do anything, "This day was quite unexpected… huh."
Anchor gave a gruff nod going towards the ship's helm, helping Nami with it. All around the soldiers that were still trapped in maple watched not being able to stop the pirates.
After the crew left to secure Franky and Groot, some others came from nearby Marine ships. But with Law, Nami, and Aisa being there, most of them were either sunk, or they were trapped in hardened maple.
As the Going Merry turned suddenly another member hopped onto the ship. "Oi, were you guys gonna leave me?" Cricket complained, that he looked worse for wear. But compared to others like Hatchan and Yosaku he was far better.
"Nope. Even if you died, we would have taken your body with us," Anchor said nonchalantly, getting a gruff from Cricket. But he did note the new sword that Cricket was carrying around with him. "Nice sword by the way…"
Cricket blinked looking at the sword that collected off of Kaku, "Yeah, she's a good one. Didn't want to leave her in enemy hands."
Anchor just nodded, making a point to look at the sword after getting out of this mess. He could tell the weapon was unique.
Right then Law appeared on the ship, replacing an empty barrel with himself. On his shoulder were the wounded forms of Usopp and Gin.
The crew were wide-eyed, they hadn't expected them to be this bad. Both of them had multiple wounds on their bodies, with Gin having deep wounds on his exposed back, while Usopp's hands were limp by his side. One of them also didn't have their masks on.
Gin's helmet was destroyed and Franky blinked putting two and two together. That was the man demon Gin, one of the straw hats. He then looked at the ship, unlike how others were Franky kept himself up to date on the pirates news. And especially about that new Warlord.
One who was a bounty hunter before becoming a pirate. Heck, even Zoro and Kuina who always stood by the captain were bounty hunters. So as a bounty hunter himself he knew about them.
And the Going Merry was getting a lot of attention a while back mainly due to the new Warlord. That's why the ship looked familiar! That wasn't all.
He recognized them, but didn't point that out with how bad they looked.
If this was the previous him, he would have jumped to the conclusion that this was all a setup and blamed them. Mainly because Warlords were glorified government dogs, or that's how he saw them.
But Iceburg did something similar, and made a deal with the world government to secure Water Seven and build up his reputation. Franky was angry at him first, but while they were captured Lucci made a point to taunt him about his now 'dead' friend. So Franky knew not all people who were associated with the world government were doing their bidding. Some had their own goals in mind.
Franky bit his lower lip, thinking about that bastard. Iceburg was almost like a brother to him. But he was dead, all because of him. Not knowing about the fact that he was saved by Law.
"You guys look like shit," Yosaku called out. Even if he had a black eye and a broken nose, along with a plethora of other injuries, Gin and Usopp were far worse than him.
Gin gave his iconic sadistic smile, though it came up rather weak due to exhaustion, "Oh, yeah? You should have seen the other guy."
"Yeah, he was all over the place," Usopp added with a weak chuckle. He really was… literally.
Gin blinked and looked at him. "…"
"What?"
"Dark humor is my thing. And that was my joke, that you un-uniquely ripped off."
Usopp playfully snorted not denying anything.
With that, both of them broke into a burst of laughter as Nami shook her head. "Boys."
