The Astralis Massacre
The first chaotic event meant to happen a month from now in my novel. Here was where Aiden Cross cemented himself as a beacon of hope for his classmates and eventually the world.
Rivals, allies, connections will be formed and eventually even enemies. During this event, despite losing over a hundred students and few dropping out, Aiden cross became a beacon of hope for them.
'Everything is going according to plan… but it's going too smoothly.'
'In most books I read, there are subtle changes in the story but I am yet to encounter this. It will be rather nice'
Still in a daze, someone pulled up a chair across Elior snapping him back to reality.
Seren
"Oh, sorry. I'll leave."
"Don't bother, I will let you share my reading spot just for today"
"Thanks" Elior said calmly.
The place was quiet and subtle. There was distance, very calm. They did not bother to interrupt each other, respecting their space. A very eerie and peaceful atmosphere before it was interrupted by Seren.
"I saw your spar today"
"Is that so" Elior said in a calm yet reserved tone.
"You forfeited the fight"
"I am sure I lost to Drax fair and square"
"I think you are lying especially after the training you do every morning"
"Training doesn't suddenly make you stronger."
"Cryptic much?"
Elior did not reply after that, just letting the silence feel the gap for him. Elior got up and told her he had something to do.
From the shadows exactly at midnight, three students were seen walking in the dark wearing hooded cloaks. They did not want to be seen especially by the Academy authorities. As they moved swiftly and silently, they entered a tunnel which led to the drainage. Passing through the tunnels, they arrived at a door beneath the Academy.
As they reached the door, one of them stepped forward and knocked. A tall man opened the slot
"Password?"
The student forward spoke "From the stars we came. To the stars we return."
The man closed the slot and the door opened.
As the three students entered, there were others, waiting, relaxing and even chilling among themselves. The three students moved with the huge man and entered a hidden room.
A man in a dark cloak was looking at the window observing the beautiful stars as he spoke "How are the preparations going on your end"
"It is going well; we have taken every step carefully and have not attracted any attention"
"That is very nice, the next thing we need is finding how to get the headmistress away from the scene"
"Yes, my liege" the students answered.
The plans were carried out with precision, always under the cover of darkness. The students began returning before sunrise, running swiftly following the same route they had led them to the door.
Elior was just waking up from sleep, eyes still dizzy and shaking. His hair ruffled. It was four a.m. in the morning, the time he usually woke up and began preparing for his training which began at five a.m.
Checking outside his window, Elior saw the three students running through the dark making the once dizzy eyes very wide.
"I knew this was going too smoothly"
The blue screen suddenly appeared; it had been long since Elior had seen as if it had been waiting for this specifically.
[QUEST: UNCOVER THE IDENTITY OF ONE OF THE THREE STUDENTS AND FIND OUT THEIR PLANS]
Elior just sighed.
Reluctantly, Elior stretched his sleepy body and began wearing his daily gear. As Elior left the halls, his mind raced.
'Why were there three students'
'Was it for the Astralis Massacre or something entirely else'
Elior tried to put the thoughts behind him to just train quietly. Arriving at his training route, Elior met someone rather unexpected
Liora D'Arthein
Also known as the sunlit Serpent. She is bound rival to Seris family not knowing that both families are stronger united.
'I feel kind of bad putting them that way'
Liora looked at Elior who just ignored her and went on to do his own thing. She did not care specifically, just wondered what he was doing awake this early.
Elior paid no mind and went about his business the same way. He trained and went to class. The lecturer was teaching, while everyone was paying attention, Elior mind was in another place.
'How do I lure them out?'
'How do I catch them?'
'Even when I do catch them, can I really bring down their whole operation by myself'
The thoughts came rushing. Aria noticed his uneasiness from across the room, and even Seris—cold and distant as she was—seemed to notice.
Elior went into the cafeteria. It was odd, Elior never went since he arrived, he usually bought snacks from vending machines outside but today was different.
He needed to figure out who those three students could be and slim down his options.
While in a daze, someone with a tray of food pulled up beside him
"Earth to Elior. Earth to Elior." the figure said
Elior snapped back to reality before turning to see who the person was
He muttered beneath his breath "Aria"
