Chapter 209 - Chapter 139: Comparable to Coby...

The loot was considerable, and of course, we wouldn't rely solely on manpower for transport, even though the newly joined Demon Race could easily handle it.

But with Renedia present, there was no need for such hassle.

The machinery and iron tools looted from the Royal City were pounded into five four-wheeled pedal cars with flat plate supports, and by utilizing abilities to add a power system, these crude structures, barely recognizable as vehicles, carried the spoils and crew at lightning speed towards White Harbor.

Each of these cars required the effort of just twenty people for power, making it much faster than walking.

As for the source of power... pedal power!

For something that required just twenty people pedaling, carrying heavy cargo and personnel, yet still moved swiftly, Sage not only understood but considered it the norm.

In these seas, even cola could serve as fuel!

Nothing surprising about that.

Sage sat cross-legged at the front of one of the four-wheeled cars, facing the wind stirred up by the swift ride, and asked Lily beside him, "What about the ship?"

Lily estimated the time and replied, "It hasn't moved yet; it's not time. I'll have them get ready earlier."

Before Sage entered the city, Lily had already used the Radio Snail to notify the Death Star. Initially, they said they would reach the port a day later for convenience, but at their current speed, it wouldn't take that long.

Sage nodded, "Remind them to be on alert; the Navy likely has received the news and will conduct checks at sea."

"What are we afraid of!"

Renedia, who was beside him, clenched her fist against the wind, mimicking Sage's punching motion when using Galaxy Impact, and said, "Sage, won't you just smash everything with one punch! Next time we meet that old man Garp, we'll definitely take revenge!"

"Revenge? More likely Imple Down revenge." Sage rolled his eyes.

Lily glanced sideways, "Is the difference that big?"

Sage extended his five fingers, glanced down, and shook his head, "There's still a considerable gap."

Garp's Galaxy Impact is delivered from high altitude, relying solely on Haki to smash the bridge from afar.

Whereas he needed to borrow the force of a dive, making close contact with a mountain, to shatter most of the cone mountain, only obliterating it completely with two punches, clearly indicating his lacking strength.

"That old man obviously didn't use his full strength, and he's grown old. If it were his prime, a single full-strength punch destroying an island wouldn't surprise me."

Sage clenched his fist and said, "At the very least, I need to reach that level too!"

He could unleash his full power without restraint, as long as he didn't exhaust his stamina, and for him, there's no concept of running out of Haki.

But in terms of strength, his imitation or stolen 'Galaxy Impact' ...

Possibly stronger than the impact when Coby shattered the Evil King's hand with a punch...

Sage: "..."

"There's always this sense of humiliation," a vein throbbed on his forehead, and he clicked his tongue, dismissing the absurd thought.

For that weak pink-haired guy to land that punch is as unlikely as ancestral tombs smoking, whereas he, Sage, could at any moment throw the quintessential punch of a Body Technique User.

But undeniably, compared to the top-tier powerhouses of the seas, there's still a significant gap in strength.

Regular Haki consumption wouldn't allow him to defeat Doflamingo.

He needed to continue enhancing not only his Haki reserves but also his physical attributes.

Now was not the time to slack off.

"Demi-Immortal, conduct a divination for me, how much money can we loot in White Harbor?" Sage asked.

Hawkins, seated on the same car as Sage, took out his Tarot Cards for divination. Upon hearing Sage's question, he paused slightly, "There's no probability for that, the fortune of money is intertwined with ours. While I wish to contest fate, sometimes we must face reality."

If such a broad matter as the amount of loot could be foretold, he wouldn't be called 'Magician,' but 'Prophet.'

"However..."

Hawkins contemplated and said, "Speaking of money, I have some intel. Previously, when Granny attempted to recruit me, she disclosed plans to bribe the local Navy with a lot of money."

"Next time, relay intel like that earlier. I thought there was nothing worth looting,"

Sage glared at him, then turned back towards the front, "Navy Base... just right, let's resupply weapons and gunpowder."

"Eh?" Renedia was puzzled, "Isn't this a member country of the World Government? Doesn't the Navy have a duty to protect it, why would they need bribing?"

Sage grinned, "Why bother with the reasons, just seize it!"

Reasons are plentiful.

The underground gold reserves of Anu Country are depleted, apparent from the Demon Race, yet to ensure this stone-selling nation has wealth, some extraordinary measures are naturally required.

This nation was ridiculed by Bellamy as a fraud country; thus, as fraudsters, they inevitably have ways to deceive the dreamers.

The cursed Gold Coins were an anomaly, but since Sage came ashore, he saw numerous mines and abandoned tools, indicating there are still people drawn by the Golden Country legends to the island.

Given the intel about bribing the Navy, it's not hard to speculate that all those who bring money here might be prevented from leaving until every last Belly is extracted.

Yet, those with wealth are likely of high status; bribing the local Navy serves to shield or buy time.

Alternatively, it might provide cover, as the locals are relatively capable and could thrive as Pirates. By bribing the Navy, they ensure Navy inaction.
