Chapter 216 - Chapter 144: If All Goes as Expected

Compared to before, Sage's Supreme King Haki is now more skillful. Although he still can't release it precisely at a pinpoint, the directional release doesn't cause a leak, nor does it affect those around him.

But when sensed by others, it can still be detected.

Even if not facing the impact directly, the imposing presence brought by the Supreme King Haki can be felt by others.

The intensity... is terrifyingly astonishing!

Hawkins looked at Sage, who almost pierced the sky, and his heart tightened.

This is what he often talks about...

Haki, meaning to reign supreme over everything.

"Go, demolish those houses for me!" Sage pointed at those buildings whose roofs had been blown off by the hurricane, walls bearing numerous cracks, teetering amidst the torrents and storm winds.

Lily paused for a moment but quickly understood Sage's intention. With one foot on the ship's edge, like a thunderclap, she transformed into a streak of white light, swiftly flashing several white glimmers in a three-story building ahead.

Boom!

The building was smoothly sliced into several segments, collapsing to the ground, forming ruins.

"I see."

Hawkins witnessed this scene and understood Sage's intent. He drew his Long Sword, with the rice straw coiling around the blade.

"Rice Straw Hand-Prepared Blade."

He swung forward, extending and lengthening the blade, then suddenly splitting into several parts, slicing through a building like a whip, dividing it into segments and causing it to collapse into the alley.

Renedia didn't quite comprehend but it didn't matter, she just needed to follow suit. She pulled down her wind goggles to cover her eyes, extended the Mechanical Hammer, targeting one of the houses before reconsidering and choosing another.

The previously aimed house still had people taking refuge on the roof, while the now-targeted house was wide open with no one inside. With a twist of the hammer shaft, she fired an Air Cannon, blowing the house to pieces, leaving the rubble of stones and wood piled on the ground.

Gin used Moon Step to jump into the air, swinging his crutch hammer with great force, descending from above a house, crashing down with tremendous force, creating a dent in the entire building, as debris flew.

The surrounding vacant houses weren't targeted at places with people, as they adhered to Sage's rule of not messing with the unfortunate.

In their eyes, ordinary people equate to the unfortunate.

Bam!

Boom!!

People hiding on the roofs and within the second floors looked terrified as individuals seemingly emerging out of nowhere under the stormy weather damaged buildings. Each of them holding each other in fear, afraid of being struck.

Only when the port city's periphery became surrounded by ruins, forming a circle of debris, did they halt.

The waves hit the ruins, blocked by them, rebounding instead of inundating the city.

As an island of the rainy season, the city's waterproof facilities were quite good, but the prior tsunami was too fierce; now, with the absence of waves crashing in, the weakened storm will not cause much harm to the city.

Soon, the water within the city became less rapid and gradually receded to ankle-deep levels.

While the storm persisted, the city's people were delighted.

A few townsfolk rushed out, not caring about wet shoes, joyfully exclaimed: "Turns out you are good people, we misunderstood you, thank you for saving us!"

"Thank you too early!"

Sage, with a sudden wave, commanded the awaiting pirates on deck to sneer and leap off the ship, crossing the debris and storming into the city.

This left the street's people dumbfounded, and soon, they cried out in terror, rushing back to nearby houses to hide.

Sage jumped off the ship, stood on the street, and laughed heartily at everyone: "I came to rob!"

Tearing down houses for flood control, managing the water flow was purely to provide footing for his crew.

The pirates charged straight, targeting unscathed houses, large estates, and boutiques along the streets, looting them vigorously.

The ship was rich with supplies from the Anu Country, momentarily not needing anything, with Sage's three targets along this route all being about money.

Saint Polbra, a prosperous economic hub with constant influx of new products, is rich in money. Just with what Sage saw, his men casually exiting any house carried small treasure chests filled with Belly and gold and silver jewelry.

This amplified his amusement.

As an economic city and thriving area on Magnetic Field Island, the defense forces are naturally strong but dispersed amidst the storm disaster, leading to the pirates' smooth robbery.

Even if responses were swift, it wouldn't matter, as they aren't an ordinary Pirate group.

Although somewhat complex, the money was obtained, and Sage no longer cared about the intense storm.

His plan remains perfect.

After about four hours, the pirates raided enough, carried their boxes back onto the Death Star, with sails unfurled, and the Black Ship gradually departed amid the storm.

With the Death Star's departure, the turbulent sky turned dark once more, signifying another impending heavy rain.

It seemed that after a brief weakening, the wind and storm were regaining their violent nature, the sky darkened like Yoru, rekindling apocalyptic scenes, leaving the city's residents in utter despair.
