Chapter 877 - Chapter 832: The Plan Fails

The once silent Origin Wall Star Domain is now as lively as a boiling pot, with vibrant battle lights illuminating the countless giant statues on the wall in multicolored hues.

Debris of various kinds drifted through the air, with remnants of Skeleton Battleships, corpses of various Lantern Heroes, and fragments of the Origin Wall Giants cramming the already small space to the brim.

Brainiac had long been prepared; his fleet had warped directly in front of several Lantern Groups and then engaged in close combat, entangling everyone there.

Skeletal spaceships are not quite like ordinary spacecraft.

Common sense suggests that cosmic battleships are either armed with ship cannons or employ shipborne aircraft or mecha, as the engagement distances are often measured in light-years.

But Brainiac defied convention; his skeletal spaceship's main attack method, aside from the fairly weak energy cannons as its eyes, was the mechanical tentacles that extended from beneath the ship.

These tentacles, crafted from a secret alloy, required even Superman to exert significant effort to break them. When entangling with other spacecraft, once these tentacles snared them, they were essentially doomed almost instantly.

Thanks to Brainiac's ingenious technology, the skeleton battleships can enter the atmosphere, and these tentacles are quite effective at dismantling buildings or killing people.

However, the setting of tentacles emerging from a skeleton head... seems familiar somehow?

"We'll hold off the enemy! Star Hero, take Hawk Woman and continue the plan!" Hal had already flown over, taking over the command from Kyle.

Kyle was a brave warrior, always setting an example by fighting on the front lines to inspire morale.

However, his command ability was a weak spot, never having systematically studied air combat theory, as he was a comic book artist before becoming a Lantern Hero.

Combining willpower and imagination is a good match, but Lantern Ring manifestos are insufficient to alter the outcome of a campaign.

Upon hearing Hal's words through telepathic communication, Star Hero and Kendra did not delay. The two quickly traversed the complex battlefield and arrived in front of the Origin Wall as soon as possible.

Looking at the massive humanoid indentation and the densely packed terrifying statues around it, Kendra took a deep breath.

She nodded at Star Hero, flew alone to the wall, and then turned around, spreading her wings like a butterfly and leaning back against the wall.

The wall seemed adhesive, sticking her right onto it. Even if she regretted it, it was now too late.

The star pattern on Star Hero's chest began to emit a strong glow. He looked at Kendra seriously: "Are you ready?"

"I suppose it's hard to say if someone can truly be ready for this." Wrapped entirely in armor, with the energy from N Metal and her wings temporarily preventing her petrification, Kendra said, "But you can consider me ready."

"Kendra, your sacrifice will be remembered by everyone. This is not easy; we only might succeed." Star Hero's long hair had begun to flutter up and down, and the energy within him gradually shifted from blue to purple.

"At least it might be."

From afar, Kendra glanced at Ron, who was currently striving to block the Skeleton Fleet, but those micro-suns left behind by the exploding ships made him miserable.

It seemed that the mentioned heaven would be hard to achieve....

Because Kendra's face was hidden beneath the helmet, Star Hero did not perceive her gaze. He slowly raised one hand: "I will begin extracting your entropy energy; the Origin Wall feeds on it and will start enclosing around you. Many hardships will come to an end."

"Go ahead." Kendra gritted her teeth.

"This will be painful; forgive me." A purple flashpoint emerged from Star Hero's hand, striking Kendra's armor, causing her to scream in agony.

"Aaaahhhh!!!"

Even though she had mentally prepared, this excruciating agony, as if her soul was being slowly ground by a millstone, far exceeded her expectations.

Kendra screamed, but Star Hero did not relent: "The energy is being drawn out, hang in there, we're almost...."

Just as Star Hero was about to use all his energy to activate the Origin Wall, a seemingly inconspicuous metal grappling hook came secretly from space, quietly latching onto the back of Star Hero's head like a little octopus.

"Neural control system connection...."

Star Hero heard Brainiac's voice and then discovered he had lost control over his body; he manipulated his internal energy, but it turned around and directed Papetua's energy towards the Skeleton Mothership.

The seemingly ordinary spaceship opened its mouth, sucking in the energy beam like slurping noodles.

"No!!!"

In an instant, Star Hero regained control over his body, but it was too late.

Star Hero successfully reached behind his head and crushed the device, but in the next moment, he felt as if he were connected to all the life in the universe, and this enormous consciousness drowned his mind.

But soon, all of these sensations were consumed by darkness.

He suddenly lost all his energy, unable even to breathe in space; the power that was not originally his was now fully extracted.

When Star Hero used Papetua's power to channel the entropy energy within Hawk Woman, Brainiac's mind-controlled robots manipulated his incomplete brain and handed over everything.

During the journey to Mars, Luthor learned from Ron about the events on Senagang Star, realizing what the Totality truly was and how to use it.

The Mars People were too naive, thinking that the so-called friendship of childhood would restrict human behavior?

Lex Luthor wouldn't.

Perhaps there were doubts, but with Brainiac's help, no more.

They had already learned that as long as there is a trace of Papetua's own energy, it would be the catalyst to activate the Totality, victory was within reach.

Star Hero had initially escaped from Luthor's grasp, but where could he escape to? Haha....

The door handle in Luthor's hand was still three types of Dark Creation Power short of completion, but that was no longer important.

He and Brainiac had performed an overtake on the curve, no longer needing the Justice League's Transcendence Door Handle, nor the activation of the Door Handle of Destruction by Dark Creation Power, they would gladly accept it when Star Hero voluntarily offers his entire Papetua energy.

By now, that door handle was merely a simple weapon, they had activated the Totality, and just needed to wait for Papetua to awaken and push the 'door' from the other side.

The Totality emitted increasingly intense blue light, even Brainiac had to lift his arm to shield himself, lest the visual sensors be damaged.

For just that microsecond, Brainiac thought it must be the scene of a Big Bang, a needle-point sized matter, accompanied by indescribable energy, expanding into an infinite, ever-expanding universe.

But soon, those energies spiraled and solidified into some form, it was a pair of eyes burning with the Power of Creation.

Within them was the clearly visible rage, seemingly ready to consume everything.

Her legion, her warriors, the giants on the Origin Wall, erupted with ecstatic cries of anger, her energy activated them, and their eyes each emitted their own brilliance.

If the previously silent standing of the Origin Wall gave a feeling of majesty and magnificence, now, with the eyes of billions of giants on the wall all lit at once, an atmosphere called fear suddenly engulfed everyone.

Ron finally understood why at first, when he and Clark engaged with the Totality, those giants called him an abomination.

This had nothing to do with him, but because, in the current Multiverse, all living beings are abominations.

Everyone present was dumbfounded, as the shadow of those eyes peered into the universe through the Origin Wall's crevices, that fleeting glimpse rendered the New Gods utterly powerless in resistance.

"Star Hero needs help!"

Maybe it was because Kendra backed the Origin Wall; she didn't see the shadow of those eyes, so when she saw the energy-depleted Star Hero struggling desperately, she cried out in telepathic communication.

John snapped back to reality, he immediately flew over and manifested a balloon with his Lantern Ring, enclosing Star Hero within it.

However, the rescued Star Hero appeared dumbfounded, eyes vacant, and face full of despair.

The plan had failed, his series of actions instead cemented the victory for the Destruction Legion, the Multiverse was doomed....

The battle stopped, Brainiac's fleet swiftly warped away, while the remaining heroes gradually displayed fear on their faces.

"We must gather all the essence of the universe, but how could she possibly manifest now?!" Little Blue Man Ganser was terrified, floating in the cosmos, desperately speaking to the Celestial Father beside him: "I thought we would have more time!"

Papetua, the First Creation, in all of time, her name existed only in whispers of reverence, despite the indelible marks she left in reality, the Origin Wall.

She was the World Forger, Watcher, and Anti-Monitor's great mother, shaping the Multiverse into a self-sustaining perpetual weapon even before all lifeforms were born.

The situation for Celestial Father was worse than for the Guardians, his entire being began to turn obscure and blurred, like a shadow in the mist.

"Ganser...I can sense the Origin calling me back, we're shifting phases, our existence is losing form."

The powers of the New Divine Race come from the Origin, and when the Origin wants to reclaim their powers, they are entirely powerless to resist.

Maybe Celestial Father previously didn't know what the Origin was, but now it's clear, the Origin is Papetua, the first creation in the Multiverse.

He looked at his own hands, those hands were already fading, he knew there was no turning back.

"May the Origin be kinder to you and your descendants...now...the end is near...."

After speaking, he turned into a streak of light, dissipating into the universe, and all the New Gods faced the same end, just an accidental opening of Papetua's eyes from her slumber, leaving Apocalypse Star and Creation Star empty....

Probably among all the New Gods, the only one who escaped this catastrophe was Darkseid, who had already sensed everything early on, and voluntarily hid in the Ghost Star Domain.

Witnessing the collective demise of the New Gods, Ganser, accustomed to grand spectacles, also exploded with fury, urgently issuing a warning: "Notify all Lantern Heroes within 100 million light-years to retreat! The cosmic boundary is about to be torn apart! The Origin Wall is going to explode!"

With his words falling, deep within the Origin Wall, beneath those giants, the blasts of fire began to illuminate densely.
