"Kendra! Kendra! Can you hear me?! The Origin Wall is becoming unstable, the cracks are getting bigger!"
Ron shouted in the mental channel, while Luthor and Brainiac left only the afterimage after the warp and a large amount of metal debris for everyone.
Mars Hunter already knew the plan had completely failed, so even if Hawk Woman stayed, it would be meaningless.
"Don't disturb me, I'm trying to stabilize the Origin Wall," Hawk Woman said stubbornly. She could naturally feel the intense vibrations coming from her back, as if about to shatter her bones: "I know this might kill me, but I might also absorb all the energy."
Every explosion, though silent flames in the universe, she could feel the giant statues on the wall rejoice with mad laughter before being blown to pieces.
"I was wrong..." Star Hero said blankly, "from the beginning we were deceived by the Totality..."
John looked at Star Hero helplessly, dragging him to quickly escape. He knew the powerful energy source within Star Hero was the same kind as the Totality, but the other party generously allowed him to use such power, how could it be reliable?
And Hawk Woman, having the N Metal Armor is indeed great, but this is all the energy of the Origin Wall. Each statue on it is a cosmic-level superpower, not to look down on Earthlings, but even the energy of one of those giant statues is not something Hawk Woman can bear.
John had never missed Batman so much; without him, the Justice League under Ron and Superman's control felt like child's play...
"Kendra! There's no hope, we can only try our best to escape, to stay as far away as possible."
Ron flew to Kendra's side, grabbed her hand, trying to pull her off the Origin Wall.
But like a fly stuck to flypaper, sticking is easy, coming down is not so simple?
Although not petrified, she still seemed as if she had grown into the wall itself, the exploding flames coming closer and closer, yet she remained utterly still.
Ron had no intention of escaping alone, he kept exerting force, even if he would soon be engulfed by flames, he had no plans of leaving Kendra behind.
Fortunately, Superman, who had previously been sent flying somewhere, returned. The effects of Kryptonite radiation had passed, and he was almost back to normal. The metabolic rate of Kryptonians is not something humans can compare to.
He just had some regret, realizing he should have used heat vision for a remote attack to test the spaceship instead of charging head-on.
This was already the second time he chose the wrong battle strategy in a crucial fight; the previous time he clapped Flood Demon to pieces and nearly turned himself and Barry into fish.
Superman grabbed Kendra's other hand and exerted force with Ron. The N Metal Armor on Hawk Woman made creaking sounds of deformation, but finally, they managed to rip her off the Origin Wall at the last moment.
There was no time to catch their breath; they fled rapidly with Kendra, and behind them, the Origin Wall began to collapse from the cracks, with explosions swiftly spreading along the wall, turning half the sky into a blazing sea of fire.
Deafening noise pounded in the soul of every living being, echoing impossibly across the vacuum, shaking the foundations of reality.
The death of the Origin Wall, its last roar, reverberated in the heart of every being in the multiverse, spreading beyond.
On the New Genesis Star, Adam Hero flew swiftly through cosmic space.
One moment he was laughing and chatting with the New Gods, and the next, the people before him vanished, and even the Creation Star itself disappeared. He could only hurry back to Earth, trying to contact the Justice League through all channels.
However, there was no response because the Hall of Justice was no more. Barry was now imbuing the Javelin with Divine Speed to escape, wanting to contact the Justice League inside the Bullet Time Domain, but Mother Box's Blast Sound Technology was needed.
In the Ghost Sector, Darkseid, clad in a black cloak, sat solemnly on the stone throne, feeling a stirring within, yet showing a cold smile.
The Chaos Barrier in the Ghost Star Zone indeed blocked the recall from the Origin, so now he could officially begin his plan, with Steel Bone's foolish team completely manipulated by him.
Even without super powers, his intelligence far surpassed those human children.
On the Eternal Rock, Bo Bo and the Shadow Contract Team awaited Su Ming's orders, but feeling a special fluctuation, the gorilla squinted its eyes.
Something's off, really off, no matter what Deathstroke is doing, it had better speed up.
What could Su Ming be doing? Negotiating terms, of course.
As the wave swept across the multiverse, Su Ming had just kicked 'Lust' flying.
Su Ming merely let Wrath chase Constantine for a bit, but Zha Kang had a Damage Rebound Curse, apart from being batted around like a ping pong ball, he hadn't sustained too much damage.
However, he just wanted Zha Kang to know he saw through the provocation, not truly sit back and let Wrath kill Zha Kang. So after some earth-shaking exchanges, Su Ming defeated the Primordial Demon at a minimal cost.
Just as previously said, once Wrath fell into a rage, he had no brains, a few chain traps laid, some head-on confrontation, and Wrath was down.
As a Demon, lacking any spell-like abilities, relying solely on muscle, even unable to use weapons, no matter how strong, how strong could they be?
After Su Ming defeated Wrath, Zha Kang might have submissively summoned the second Demon 'Greed'.
This one was also easy to handle, Su Ming directly used the Orange Lantern Ring to release a massive amount of Orange Lantern Ghosts, and the battle ended amidst shouts like 'Mine!', 'No, it's mine!', 'No, it's all mine!', and the like.
No wonder Constantine said the Primordial Demons were nothing more than third-rate demons; their strength lay in their conceptual nature, but their actual power was outdated.
Next up was the 'Taotie', whom Su Ming bribed with a massive feast.
More precisely, it was the Inverted Man who opened the door, and after Green Arrow bought several trucks' worth of roasted whole lambs, the Taotie didn't care at all what Su Ming was up to, its maggot-like body squirmed onto the pile of food and began devouring it voraciously.
Then there was Sloth, who fell asleep the moment he was summoned, with no intention of fighting at all. Diana simply dragged the sleeping demon aside, and that was the end of it.
Envy, on the other hand, was an intelligent type of demon, skilled in stirring up the Dark Side of people's hearts, but with very average abilities, handed over to Green Arrow for practice and quickly dealt with.
Lastly, there was Lust, an exceptionally beautiful female demon, almost unclothed...
However, Su Ming had important work to do and wasn't in the mood to play games with desire itself. So he knocked her out as well, but hadn't yet had the chance to let Constantine proceed to the next step when a disturbance in the cosmos was detected.
The X Metal Skeleton in his body started to itch as if electrified, as though it wanted to break free.
The Strangulation, sharing a body with the host, naturally wouldn't fail to notice. It immediately reinforced all the muscle fibers within the body, firmly securing the metal skeleton.
Su Ming's eyes were filled with a dazzling array of colors, stars, chaos, mist, darkness... until, finally, a pair of yellow eyes flashed by.
When he regained his senses, the tremor had ceased, and the skeleton returned to normal, but he still gasped deeply, feeling as though he was going to die at that moment.
When he looked around, except for the Taotie, all of the Seven Deadly Sins were unconscious, and Diana and Oliver were both looking up at the gray, bleak sky. Even Constantine, who was usually grinning, wore a grave expression.
"Our situation... isn't good," he said, pulling a Skar cigarette from his coat pocket, tossing one to Su Ming, and stepping forward to speak in a low voice.
Su Ming gestured for him to wait because there was a resonance coming from the X Metal in the cosmos, and Cindy had sent a message.
After a moment, he too frowned: "The Justice League's plan failed, the Origin Wall is starting to collapse, Papetua's revival is only a matter of time now."
Diana and Oliver approached, Wonder Woman biting her lip in thought: "What does Batman have to say?"
"He didn't participate in this operation because the Joker's actions this time were unusual; he's already gone back to Gotham to play games with the madman." Su Ming shrugged, the Justice League's reliance on Batman was nothing new, so it was understandable that Diana wanted to hear Batman's opinion.
But he didn't expect that without Batman, the Justice League would land themselves in such trouble.
Diana frowned, crossing her arms in displeasure: "With Earth in such danger, he's bothering with the likes of the Joker? Is he crazy?"
From Wonder Woman's perspective, the Joker was indeed mad, but he had neither superpowers nor any magical abilities, and in terms of threat level, he surely didn't compare to the Destruction Legion.
Su Ming lit the cigarette, took a deep draw, and blew out a smoke ring, the gray sky felt oppressive:
"Batman has always been mad, I thought you knew that. But this time, he's made the right choice because the threat level of the Joker and the Mad Laugh is far beyond that of the Destruction Legion, even with Papetua included."
"I don't understand what you mean." Diana pursed her lips, her expression clearly showing her disagreement.
"It's understandable that you don't understand, because there is only one Batman in the world." Su Ming didn't elaborate further, as there were things he knew but couldn't say.
Some know Papetua's origin, but what about the Joker's?
He seemed to appear out of nowhere, and while there are many Joker origin stories in the comics, whether they correlate with the current Joker, and how many Jokers actually exist in the world, remains a mystery.
During the N52 era, when Batman sat on the Mobius Chair, it told him there were three Jokers on Earth; even Batman was surprised, exclaiming that it was impossible.
And now, in the Multiverse post-N52 Rebirth, with Main World being meddled with by Manhattan, the Joker has become an enigma.
The unknown is always the most terrifying.
Diana rolled her eyes at Su Ming, having seen such a cryptic attitude from him more than once. If he didn't want to talk, so be it, but why was his expression so punchable?
"Are you going to say that you're the only Zorro in the world too?"
"Not exactly, but I think Oliver would probably understand Batman's actions, right?" Seeing Diana's unfriendly expression, Su Ming turned and sold out Green Arrow, diverting her attention.
She knew she wouldn't get any information from him, so she would undoubtedly ask Green Arrow instead, which gave Su Ming and Zha Kang the chance to work on more serious matters.
Engulfed in a sense of guilt, Oliver noticed the surrounding suddenly became silent. When he looked up, he saw Diana staring at him like a tigress, fists clenched, even holding the Lasso of Truth ready to rope him.
Oliver: "???"
