Chapter 382 - Chapter 216: The Awakened Mewtwo, Misunderstanding Resolved, and the Trainer Whom Mewtwo Trusts?

Pallet Town——

After a day's journey, Ash and his friends finally returned to Pallet Town from the pier. Lance and the others had already gone back to report, and as for Sweet and the others, they all went back to their own homes. This experience was certainly unforgettable for them.

They said they would come to cheer for Ash during the Quartz Conference. After all, they were companions who went through hardships together, or perhaps Ash was their savior, so of course, they would go to the conference to watch.

Ash and his group returned to Pallet Town by noon the next day. Since they had already informed Delia they would be back by noon, she had prepared a large table of dishes early on.

After Ash and the others returned, they enjoyed a hearty meal. Ash then bid farewell to Delia and headed to the back mountain of Pallet Town.

This time, Misty and Brock didn't accompany Ash because this was Ash's private conversation time with Mewtwo. Whether Mewtwo could be relieved depended on this talk.

With others around, some emotions might not be able to be vented.

Upon reaching the back mountain, Ash took out an ordinary Pokeball and opened it, releasing Mewtwo, who lay quietly on the ground.

To prevent Mewtwo from doing anything extreme, Ash hadn't completely healed Mewtwo, only restoring some of Mewtwo's injuries so that he wouldn't be in so much pain but wasn't fully conscious either.

However, after releasing Mewtwo, Ash felt something was amiss. From the outside, Mewtwo's injuries seemed to have healed a lot. As Ash walked up to Mewtwo, intending to check his state with his palm, Mewtwo suddenly reached out.

Three round, ball-like fingers tightly grasped Ash's wrist, and Mewtwo's eyes, which had been closed in deep sleep, suddenly opened, filled with a complex look.

"You really have woken up, Mewtwo."

'You underestimated my recovery ability.'

"So, do you still want to fight me?" Ash didn't argue with Mewtwo but directly asked back.

Mewtwo remained silent.

When Ash asked this question, he actually already knew the answer. Mewtwo's physical condition had recovered better than he had imagined; at least, there seemed to be no injuries visible from the outside.

This indicated that Mewtwo had mostly recovered last night, and with her strength, restoring a portion of her power, breaking free from the Pokeball would be an easy task.

But she hadn't broken free from the Pokeball, indicating her mind was calmer now.

'There's no need for that. A loss is a loss. The gap between us is quite large. I really can't understand how a human like you reached this level.' Mewtwo was puzzled.

She, the strongest artificial Pokemon, had painstakingly reached the Divine Domain Level, but Ash, a human, had not only reached this level long ago but had gone even further. It truly defied logic!

"I told you it's exceptional talent... Since you don't want to fight, let's sit down and have a chat." Ash said, plopping down on the ground, while Pikachu jumped down from his shoulder, eyes wide open in a gossiping manner.

Mewtwo glanced at Pikachu, not paying much attention to this weak electric mouse: 'What do you want to talk about?'

"About Gardevoir's mental origin. Let's have the party involved come out." Ash said as he took out Gardevoir's Pokeball and released her.

A flash of light revealed a mature woman with elegant, long blue hair appearing on the open ground. As soon as Gardevoir appeared, she looked at Mewtwo with a complex expression. At this proximity, she could clearly feel the connection between the power within her and Mewtwo.

Now, she was a beginner Gym level, but if she used that power within her body, she could even reach high or peak Gym level.

She knew that power wasn't hers; it belonged to the Pokemon in front of her, but she needed that power now...

"Gardevoir." Do you want to take this power back?

Gardevoir's voice reached Mewtwo's ears. Mewtwo paused, then shook her head: 'There's no need. I've already reached the Divine Domain Level. The missing mental origin in my body can now self-repair. Although it will take some time, it doesn't matter; I'm not lacking time.'

Mewtwo's statement left Gardevoir stunned. She remembered Mewtwo being uncontrollably agitated because of the mental origin within her, even causing the New Island incident, and now Mewtwo was saying she didn't want it anymore?

Then what was the New Island incident for?

"Really? I was thinking of assisting you, seeing if we could extract Gardevoir's mental origin. As long as it doesn't harm Gardevoir, you can have it back." Ash said, eyes wide, looking at Mewtwo in surprise.

'Extracting it? My mental origin can not only enhance the speed of a Psychic Type Pokemon's growth but can also be used as a trump card move. Are you willing to give it up?' Mewtwo's voice was very calm, but if you listened closely, there was a hint of peculiarity.

"There's nothing I wouldn't give up. For me, as long as Gardevoir is safe, that's what matters. As for power... I'll help her grow. If becoming the top Pokemon relies on someone else's power, then what kind of Trainer would I be?" Ash shrugged, looking indifferent.
