Chapter 33 - Body cultivation

Thinking this, I slowly shifted my focus toward them. The spiritual energy they collected flowed through their bodies and toward their souls. While this soul cannot be seen with normal eyes, I could see a dark mass of spiritual energy resembling an abyss slowly condensing within them. This mass had no shape or size. It resembled flowing water or air, but when enough of it accumulated, it took on the shape of their bodies. It was as if a dark shadow was superimposed on their physical forms.

Clearly, they had cultivated a basic soul, but this was their limit. As the time for the soul cultivation class ended, I woke them up. I said, "Disciples, please stop this practice and relax a bit. Haste only leads to confusion, and I don't want that for you. Before we start the next class, which is Body Cultivation, we will take a short break to refresh ourselves."

With that, I led them out of the Cultivation Hall. We walked through the long corridors of the Anonymous Hall. While moving, I asked the system if this hall had a place for relaxation. Soon, I received a reply: "Yes, host. This place is built to meet your every need. It has mountains, rivers, and even a city. Remember that I mentioned this place is a small realm in itself, so anything you desire can be created here."

Surprised by the system's words, I quickly overcame my surprise and commanded it to create a river flowing down a mountain, surrounded by beautiful scenery. This would be the perfect spot for river rafting. After giving my command, I received a response: "Host, your request has been completed successfully. Please visit the sports hall to continue your river rafting experience."

Delighted by the system's voice, I followed its directions. My two disciples and I soon reached a large door marked "Sports Hall." Entering, we found ourselves in a beautiful location with a river rushing down a mountain. As we approached the river, I noticed a raft with safety equipment and three paddles.

I instructed my disciples to board the raft. Once they were properly seated, I said, "Let's go, disciples. Today, your master will take you river rafting."

Then, I pushed the raft into the river's current and climbed aboard. However, I soon fell into the river. My snake body made it impossible for me to grasp the paddle; I was forced to swim as my two disciples raced past me on the raft.

I was enjoying the experience, but anyone watching would think it looked like a scene from a horror movie—two people escaping a giant snake on a raft while the snake chased them. I decided to push those thoughts aside and focus on the sport. After refreshing ourselves with river rafting, we exited the sports hall.

Next, I took my disciples to the Body Cultivation Hall. Upon entering, it felt as if we were in an ancient building equipped with modern gym gear. I had instructed the system to include this equipment in the body cultivation class. After bringing them to this class, I told my disciples, "Today is your first body cultivation class. I will teach you various forms to make your bodies so strong that a single normal punch will be enough to defeat your enemies."

"Let's start with running. Both of you, do 10 rounds on the running track." I gave the command, but they looked confused. Roman approached me and said, "Master, why do we need to run? As far as I know, body cultivation involves using various resources and magical medicines to strengthen the body by consuming their properties and employing treasures to awaken special physiques."

I sighed and replied, "No, my disciple. Relying on external things to make your body stronger will never lead to true strength. I believe in a philosophy that says everything inside the universe is also within your body. So, if you already have everything inside you, why depend on external objects?"

"Let's push your bodies past their limits. Earlier in the philosophy class, I spoke about life's incredible ability to grow. Even in a void, life finds a way to strengthen itself. So, why do you think you can't become stronger without external objects?"

Hearing my words, both of them fell into deep thought. I snapped them out of it and said, "Now, don't overthink—start running." Soon, they completed their first lap, and gradually finished their tenth lap. Aside from some heavy breathing, they showed no fatigue. I told them to do another lap and commanded the system, "System, double the gravity in this room." They began moving more slowly, affected by the increased gravity. This is one of the features of this hall; I can adjust the gravity with a single command.

After completing the tenth lap, both of them collapsed from exhaustion. I gave them a brief rest and then made them do weight lifting, gymnastics, cardio, and other physical exercises while instructing them to circulate the Chaos Body Refining Technique. Soon, both of them lay on the ground, drained of energy. Sighing, I ended the day's physical class and gave them some apples to help replenish their energy.

Afterward, I took them to the main hall and showed them their dormitory, which was quite luxurious. It had a double bed, a balcony with views of the forest and night sky, and separate kitchen and bathroom facilities. It even included a jacuzzi, a gaming room, and a big TV. There were also devices they could use to contact the outside world if they wished. I noticed a gleam in Lu Xiaoran's eyes; perhaps he wanted to call his mother. After giving them their separate rooms, I slipped away to provide them some privacy. I crawled outside the Anonymous Hall and climbed to my usual spot in a tree. Even though I now had a hall to sleep in, I still preferred the open night sky. Reflecting on tomorrow, I closed my eyes.
