Chapter 654 - Chapter 323: Will There Still Be Miracles?

Jubia stretched out her arms, gathering the surrounding seawater to form a shield above everyone, hiding their figures.

This was a one-way transparent shield that allowed them to see the scene of two dragons battling in the sky.

Kana asked, "Rhode, what about those two?"

Rhode shook his head, "It's okay."

The Golem and Tree Monster are not ordinary creatures; they won't drown even if they sink. If there's really an issue, they'll return on their own.

Rhode certainly can't send them away actively, especially the Golem. Since leaving the Celestial Wolf Island, his pressure increased sharply; sending the Golem back would make it unbearable.

Makarov asked, "Kildas, where did you park the flying ship?"

Flying back like this, the kids' stamina surely wouldn't hold up, and swimming isn't realistic, so they can only rely on that Fairy Battleship.

Kildas pointed, "Just over there, in the direction opposite where the Celestial Wolf Tree fell before."

Thankfully, it wasn't on the other side of the island.

Under the cover of seawater, everyone quietly moved toward the direction of the flying ship.

But the battle in the sky didn't look good.

The Cloud Sub-Dragon was fast and agile, but Acronologia had faced fast opponents before.

He quickly adapted to the Cloud Sub-Dragon's fighting style and gradually became bored.

Many times, his immense power meant he didn't need to think much, but that didn't mean he was completely mindless.

The Black Dragon soon understood what the Cloud Sub-Dragon wanted to do.

So he turned his gaze to a barely visible bulge on the sea's surface.

—Jubia's magic could hide their figures but couldn't conceal the significant magic power fluctuation from so many powerful Mages gathered together.

As the Cloud Sub-Dragon once again dodged an attack, the Black Dragon opened its mouth, gathering a white light ball inside.

"This guy!"

Everyone was shocked. This monster was so strong. If it only destroyed things, that would be fine; if it could also think, that would be terrifying.

The Black Dragon's breath blasted out, while the Cloud Sub-Dragon, at the fastest speed, crashed into the Black Dragon's side face!

The terrifying breath hit the distant sea surface, first creating huge waves, then rapidly evaporating the seawater, creating a void on the surface.

The surrounding seawater filled in, gradually forming a huge whirlpool.

The group hovering above the sea hurriedly sped toward Celestial Wolf Island, while Jubia couldn't maintain the protective membrane anymore, focusing entirely on the incoming waves, ready to block at any time.

In the sky, the Cloud Sub-Dragon was finally caught by the Black Dragon, pierced through the chest by the Black Dragon's foreclaw.

The Black Dragon showed no hesitation or mercy, swinging its foreclaw, seemingly wanting to tear the Cloud Sub-Dragon in half.

"Aoo!!!" The Cloud Sub-Dragon howled in pain, biting down on the Black Dragon's left wing, tearing off a chunk of flesh.

Blood rain poured from the sky, some Black Dragon's blood, but mostly the Cloud Sub-Dragon's.

The Cloud Sub-Dragon slowly lost its strength, its figure gradually disappearing.

The Black Dragon howled skyward, sounding more like excitement than pain.

To him now, slaying dragons was the most delightful thing.

After venting his emotions, the Black Dragon lowered its head, looking at the group of "flies" on the sea.

A rare battle with dragons made him extremely excited, but after the excitement, he quickly felt something off.

During the battle, he hadn't thought much, just enjoying the thrill of slaughter, but thinking about it now, those three dragons came strangely, and disappeared strangely too.

It seemed like they were there all along, just suddenly appearing.

He suspected something: those three dragons might all be Dragon Slayer Mages transformed.

So, if he continued attacking, could any of those below also transform into Dragon Slayer Mages?

Acronologia, with a thought, began brewing the breath in his mouth.

"This is bad!" Everyone knew the situation was not good, those in charge of flying put all their efforts into accelerating.

Jubia turned into a stream of water, slipping out of Lisana's claws and merging into the sea, then using her body to control the massive wave the Black Dragon had stirred up.

"Everyone, be careful!"

Jubia quickly shouted, the speed of the wave increased, engulfing everyone, sweeping them toward Celestial Wolf Island.

"Waaah!!!"

Amidst the cries, the Black Dragon's breath descended, the sea roiled once more, waves reaching the sky, followed by another massive whirlpool.

"Cough cough cough..."

Everyone tumbled onto the shore, climbing up drenched, some unlucky ones even choking on water.

Jubia hurriedly apologized, but no one would blame her, choking on water was better than dying.

Kildas loudly reminded, "Don't slack off, he's not gone yet!"

Boom! The Black Dragon's massive body landed on the shore.

Compared to its initial appearance, its throat was now bloody, a gap in its right wing, and part of its tail was missing.

Originally mostly black with blue patterns, it now sported new bloody patches, making it appear even more savage.

The grounded Black Dragon gave the group no time to breathe, leaping lightly forward like a small mountain crashing down on them.

The group quickly scattered, but the gust from the Black Dragon's landing flipped them over, sending them rolling away, looking increasingly disheveled.

Despair began to grow in their hearts.

Having failed to defeat even three dragons, what should they do now?

Rhode clutched his pendant, face and lips looking pale.

Too weak. If he could summon all three dragons at once, if he could sustain the Throat of Dishonor in battle, if he could summon stronger wild creatures...

Mira grasped Rhode's hand from behind; in this state, he couldn't recklessly attempt stronger summoning magic.

"I'm sorry, if I..." Rhode really didn't know how to overcome this crisis. Logically, such an undefeatable enemy shouldn't appear when the guild's main forces were all present.

Anyway, it seemed most likely to be his fault.

"You've done very well," said Makarov, who stood before Rhode, facing the Black Dragon. He continued, "As a Ten Wizard Saint, as a new S-Class, as a member of Fairy Tail, you're the most outstanding child."

Kildas stood beside Makarov, also saying, "That's right, if he has to apologize for achieving this much, then we should feel ashamed."

Natsu jumped out, standing next to Kildas: "Old man, I won't pretend I didn't hear the 'most outstanding' part!"

"Exactly, even if he's the only one to pass the test, we definitely don't want to lose to him." Gajeel, standing by the president, boasted, "I'll beat this dragon first, then go beat him up!"

Erza switched into a damaged Fairy Armor: "After making Rhode face it alone for so long, now it's our turn."

Laxus cracked his neck and folded his arms:

"I remember someone once told me that the guild's strength isn't just individual power, but some new S-Class seems to have arrogantly forgotten this point."

Fried, Biguslo, Ibarglin stood behind Laxus: "Of course the Thunder God Tribe follows in Laxus's footsteps!"

Gray tore off his shirt, exuding cold air: "Constant running isn't our style, we've got to let him see the power of Fairy Tail!"

"Jubia will naturally help as well."

Lucy took out a golden key: "Alright, I'll do my best too!"

Kana drew out cards, Reby clasped her fingers together.

Wendy opened a magic array, skillfully casting various additional magic.

Three Transcenders stood behind their Dragon Slayer Mages.

Ultear and Melty supported each other: "Though we're not members of Fairy Tail, it seems we have no other choice now."

Elfman and Lisana stood on Mira and Rhode's sides: "How about letting the younger siblings protect this time?"

"You're not ready yet." Mira helped Rhode stand up, absorbing Demon Hutley, then looked at Rhode, "Right?"

"Of course." Rhode revealed the pattern on his right arm.

With his current magic power, he might not be able to successfully activate it, but with just a little time, let the Black Dragon taste the brilliance of Fairies!

Also... Rhode's gaze fell on the president, Kildas, and everyone else ahead.

'Don't give up', 'We will win', 'Trust in the guild's strength'...

Everyone's feelings surged into his heart like a series of loud calls.

Such a guild, such companions, such belief, surely they can create a miracle?
