Above the stratus clouds, inside the massive S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, Director Nick Fury sat firmly in his command seat, watching satellite images displayed on the main screen.
"Hill, what do you think?" Fury turned to the tall, composed woman beside him.
"Although it's a bit… excessive in violence, it's undeniably powerful," Maria Hill replied evenly.
"You know," Fury said, his one eye narrowing, "I wanted to hear you tell me it wasn't him."
Maria lowered her gaze. The faint furrow in her brow betrayed her unease.
"Very strong… but a little strange," she finally said after a thoughtful pause.
"Oh?" Fury looked at her with interest and gestured for her to continue.
Maria tapped on her tablet, opening a file labeled Harry Osborn.
"Harry Osborn, son of Norman Osborn. Heir to Osborn Industries. Sent to a boarding school in England as a child. He only returned to the U.S. when Norman Osborn became critically ill. During his time abroad, Harry Osborn was a well-known playboy. Some reports even—" She tapped again, and the big screen filled with candid photos of Harry surrounded by beautiful women. "—directly show that."
"Back then, Harry Osborn displayed no unusual behavior. But that's the strange part." Hill frowned slightly, her eyes fixed on the youthful face on the screen.
"All of these changes began only after Harry returned to the United States. After inheriting Osborn Industries, he immediately stabilized the company, resolved internal crises, and took full control of a corporation valued at over $200 billion. Under his leadership, Dr. Curt Connors was even assigned to lead recovery efforts after the destruction in New York."
Hill scrolled further down. "It's almost impossible to believe that a twenty-one-year-old with no prior management experience could accomplish that. And according to our field agents, no one around Harry Osborn possesses the skills to assist him at that level. That means… all of these results are purely from Harry Osborn himself."
Fury nodded slowly. "Yeah."
"These are the people closest to him." Hill continued tapping, bringing up a list of profiles.
The first name appeared—Peter Parker.
"Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man. Childhood friend of Harry Osborn. Nothing notable except that his parents were once S.H.I.E.L.D. agents." Maria skipped over him quickly and changed the photo on screen.
The next image showed a man crackling faintly with blue light—Max Dillon.
"Like Parker, the new superhero called Electro isn't especially relevant." She swiped again, and this time a photo of an older, heavyset man with white hair and glasses appeared.
"Next—Dr. Carl. Participated in the Super Soldier Project during World War II as a serum researcher, but later disappeared. Intelligence suggests he was taken by Kim and resurfaced later working under Norman Osborn. Therefore, the source of Harry Osborn's power might be connected to the Super Soldier Serum."
Hill's words made Fury shake his head. As a man who had once used the serum himself, he knew better. The serum couldn't explain the kind of strength Harry had displayed. Even Captain America—its most successful subject—couldn't fight monsters like the Hulk.
"According to Rogers' records, the serum couldn't possibly give Osborn that kind of power," Hill admitted. "So the Super Soldier theory remains unconfirmed." She swiped again, bringing up another image—Felicia Hardy.
"I recognize her," Fury muttered, turning his one eye toward the screen. "Where have I seen her before…"
"Yes, we've crossed paths with her before," Hill replied, switching the display once more.
The next photo showed a woman in a black leather suit, trimmed with white fur, with long white hair cascading over her shoulders.
"If it's this picture, then I'm sure," Fury said. "The Black Cat."
"Exactly. Although we were unable to recruit her, we discovered she also used a version of the Super Soldier Serum. It's worth noting that Felicia Hardy is currently Harry Osborn's… lover." Hill set down her tablet and crossed her arms, her gaze shifting to the final image on the screen—Harry Osborn trading blows with the Hulk.
"Although we can't confirm whether his power is tied to the spider venom researched by Norman Osborn, it's clear Harry knows about his father's experiments and has inherited his armor technology. But according to Coulson's last report, our instruments detected no mutant genes in Harry Osborn's body. So, in the end, I still can't offer a reasonable explanation for the source of his strength." Hill frowned again, visibly frustrated by the lack of answers.
"So, Hill," Fury asked quietly, "what classification level would you assign to Harry Osborn's file?"
"At least Level Eight," she answered firmly.
"Then let's mark it provisional—Level Eight," Fury said after a thoughtful pause.
"Yes," Hill replied with a nod.
Just then, she turned slightly, pressing a finger to her earpiece.
"She's back? …Alright, understood." She turned off the comm and looked at Fury.
"Natasha?" Fury asked.
"Yes," Hill confirmed. "And she's injured—seriously."
"Injured?" Fury's expression darkened. He rose immediately. "Let's go see her."
"Understood," Hill replied, following behind him.
