Veins bulged on the bald man's head. This was outright humiliation to the Saiyan race.
Only Saiyans were supposed to bully other races—since when did a bunch of natives from some backwater planet get to bully them?
"10,000? Don't make me laugh! The scouter has to be broken!"
He refused to believe that some Earth native in a weird robe could have that kind of power.
"Die! You damned Earthling—whatever, I don't care what planet you're from!"
Nappa roared.
He snapped his right hand up, a blinding glow gathering in his palm.
A ki sphere—pure, condensed Ki Blast.
No fancy technique. Just dense energy packed to the extreme.
"Disappear!"
The glowing orb shot out of his hand, carrying an aura of destruction as it hurtled straight for Shinju's face.
The temperature spiked instantly. The ground scorched as the energy wave skimmed past.
Far away, behind a rock outcropping, Krillin, Piccolo, Gohan, and the others were all there—yet before they could even step in, someone had already stolen their fight.
They'd arrived just in time to see a mysterious figure in the sky battling two strange men.
Now Krillin clamped a hand over his mouth, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.
"Th-that ki… it's terrifying… That bald guy—he can fire something like that with a casual attack?!"
Piccolo gritted his teeth, sweat beading on his green skin.
"Who is that guy who suddenly showed up? He didn't dodge!"
Gohan shut his eyes in terror.
Everyone thought the white-robed man would be blown into nothing.
Shinju stood where he was, watching the incoming sphere.
Too crude.
The energy structure was loose. Other than raw quantity, there was zero refinement.
So this was how Saiyans fought?
Straight lines, straight violence.
Fine, then.
Shinju raised his right hand and reached for the orb—an attack strong enough to flatten a building.
The sphere slammed into his palm. A massive shockwave exploded outward, dust and smoke surging up again.
A cruel smile spread across Nappa's face.
"That's what you get for putting on an act."
He was certain the man was dead.
Taking Nappa's ki blast head-on—Vegeta himself wouldn't dare be that arrogant.
The dust slowly cleared.
Nappa's smile froze.
Vegeta's face twisted in disbelief.
In the center of the ruins, Shinju still stood in the exact same spot, not having moved an inch.
His right arm was raised.
That violent ki sphere was now obediently trapped in his palm—like he was holding a tennis ball.
The energy tried to detonate, but his five fingers crushed it down with absolute force.
"Th-this…"
Nappa staggered back half a step.
"No… impossible… How can you catch it?!"
Shinju glanced down at the sphere in his hand.
"An attack at this level."
His fingers tightened.
Crack.
The orb went out—snuffed and crushed, forced to disperse into tiny sparks that vanished into the air.
Shinju flicked his hand.
"So this is a Saiyan?"
He lifted his head, staring straight into Nappa's horrified face.
"Looks like you're nothing special."
Nappa's body went stiff.
As a warrior of a battle race that had conquered countless worlds and slaughtered countless species…
No one had ever humiliated him like this.
Crushing a ki blast with one hand
The visual impact was worse than taking a punch.
Emotion after emotion exploded in Nappa's mind.
"Bastard…"
He growled low, muscles swelling.
A white aura surged up from his feet, blasting nearby rubble into the air.
"You dare look down on me… I'm an elite Saiyan warrior!"
Nappa's presence erupted. The numbers on the scouter began to jump wildly.
He was powering up.
The earth shook.
Far away, Krillin's legs went weak—he could barely stand.
"So this is a Saiyan's real strength? That earlier blast was just… casual?"
Piccolo stared at the battlefield, eyes locked tight.
"This kind of monster… how are we supposed to win?"
But Shinju remained calm.
On the system interface, Nappa's battle power was displayed clearly.
Peak base form.
This was Nappa's limit.
"AAAAAAH!"
Nappa roared, his body turning into an afterimage.
His speed was several times faster than before—he appeared instantly above Shinju's head.
Hands clasped together, he hammered downward.
"Turn into meat paste!"
That strike carried all of Nappa's strength—enough to smash a mountain.
Shinju didn't even look up.
He spoke casually, as if chatting.
"Honestly, I know quite a few tricks. I'll show you a couple."
Almighty Push.
A repulsion field snapped open in an instant.
An invisible barrier exploded outward from Shinju as the center.
Nappa's hammer-fist crashed into the air wall.
The backlash surged up his arms and through his whole body.
His bones screamed under the strain.
"GWAH!"
Nappa shrieked.
He was blasted away even faster than he'd arrived, smashing through three abandoned buildings before slamming deep into the rocky ground.
Dust roared skyward.
Shinju withdrew the repulsion.
This technique worked beautifully in the ninja world—apparently it worked just fine in the Dragon Ball world too.
Physical attacks, as long as they didn't exceed the repulsion's limit, were meaningless.
"Nappa!"
Vegeta finally straightened.
He didn't care whether his partner lived or died—his eyes were only on Shinju.
Just now
The scouter hadn't registered any energy change at all.
No ki. That Earthling hadn't used ki.
"A strange ability…"
Vegeta muttered.
"Not ki control, not raw physical strength… some kind of psychic power?"
He had seen countless races across the universe—some born with bizarre abilities.
Gravity control. Time stop. Body transformation.
This guy clearly belonged to that category.
Nappa staggered back up, face smeared with blood, battle armor torn open in a huge chunk.
He panted hard, reason swallowed by rage.
"I'll kill you! I will kill you!"
"You keep saying you'll kill me…"
Shinju took one step—his figure vanished.
When he reappeared, he was already standing right in front of Nappa.
Less than half a meter away.
Nappa's motion of gathering ki locked up completely.
Too fast—there was no trace of a movement path at all.
Shinju reached out and gently pressed his hand against Nappa's shiny forehead.
That icy touch made Nappa shiver.
"Your movements are too slow."
"And your openings are everywhere."
Shinju's palm pressed slightly harder.
Chakra began to transform in his hand.
Raiton (Lightning Release).
Blue-white lightning erupted instantly—along with the shrill cry of a thousand birds.
Senpo: Chidori (Sage Art: One Thousand Birds).
"AAAAAAAH!"
Nappa screamed, voice tearing apart.
The current pierced his entire body—paralyzing his nerves, scorching his skin.
The arrogant Saiyan warrior now convulsed like a frog struck by lightning.
Shinju released his hand.
Nappa's eyes rolled back, foam spilling from his mouth as he collapsed straight onto his back.
His body still twitched now and then.
A clean one-shot.
He wasn't dead—but he was done.
Shinju turned around.
His gaze landed on Vegeta, who had been watching the whole time.
"This is your subordinate?"
Shinju dusted his hands off.
"Too weak."
"I hope you can at least give me a little surprise."
"Prince of the Saiyans."
Vegeta's face darkened to the point it looked ready to drip.
He pulled the scouter off his ear and crushed it into powder with his fingers.
"Good."
Vegeta tossed the fragments aside.
A suffocating killing intent poured off him.
"You managed to piss me off."
"Earthling."
"I'll teach you what happens when you provoke a Saiyan prince."
A violet aura burst from Vegeta's body.
The sky seemed to change color. Clouds were blasted apart. The entire ground of East City trembled violently.
This pressure was far beyond Nappa's—more than a whole tier higher.
In the distance, the Z Fighters had gone limp on the ground.
This level of ki was beyond what they could even understand.
Shinju watched Vegeta's aura flare and finally showed a satisfied look.
Yes.
A battle power of 18,000.
Now this was prey worth harvesting.
"System, analyze Saiyan energy wavelengths."
"Build a combat model."
"Prepare to copy skills."
Shinju formed hand seals.
Since this was the Dragon Ball world, then he'd greet the prince in the Dragon Ball way.
Or—
He'd use ninjutsu to teach him a lesson.
"Multiple Shadow Clone Technique."
White smoke exploded.
Dozens of Shinju appeared across the ruins.
In each clone's hand, a spinning Rasengan was already formed.
"Come on, Vegeta."
"Let me see how many you can kill."
