"Idol, is there something you specifically came to see me about? What happened?" Tony Stark asked.
"Miss Rivers, welcome, welcome!" Pepper Potts quickly brought over some fine drinks to entertain her, then sat down, happily admiring Alex Rivers' peerless beauty.
"Thank you!"
"Can't I come see you if there's nothing wrong?" Alex said with a smile, taking a sip of her drink.
"Of course you can. You can always come to me to hang out. You're Superwoman, and I'm your number one fan. You're always welcome at my home," Tony replied with a smile.
"It's nothing special. I've just been a bit bored lately and wanted to see if you had anything fun going on here," Alex said nonchalantly.
Alex had already sent her subordinates, Faora and Terminator Amy, out for free activity, to deal with some bad guys, and to earn system points for her through combat victories. She only needed to intervene personally if her subordinates encountered strong enemies they couldn't handle.
Alex remembered the plot: Tony was about to participate in a car race and would encounter villains. She absolutely had to join in on such a high-profile event, have some fun, and incidentally steal some of Tony's thunder to gain more prestige.
"You've come at a great time. I'm about to participate in a car race. Are you interested in coming along?" As soon as play was mentioned, Tony began to describe it effusively, not forgetting to boast about his skills, completely forgetting the troubles of palladium poisoning in his body. "My driving skills are amazing, you know. How's your driving? If you can't drive, watching my performance from the sidelines is fine too."
"I don't need to drive myself. My race car can auto-pilot." Alex smiled mysteriously.
"Auto-piloting technology? That's awesome! I really want to see it. Please, you absolutely must come!" Tony said excitedly.
"Tony,..." Pepper wanted to say something else, but Tony interrupted her.
"It's settled then!" Tony said quickly.
"Pepper, don't worry. With me here, I can guarantee his safety," Alex said.
"Alright, since Superwoman says it's no problem, then I'm relieved," Pepper said, looking at Tony's reaction helplessly, thinking that Tony would probably get into trouble again by participating in this race. However, since Superwoman was there, she felt much more at ease.
"Let's go, onto the plane!" Tony said happily, leading the way.
"Miss Rivers, does your auto-piloting race car need to be air-freighted for you?" Pepper asked quickly, then glanced at Tony and continued, "Please forgive his unreliability; he never considers these details beforehand."
Alex waved her hand, indicating it wasn't necessary: "It's fine, no need for air freight. My car can appear next to me at any time through spatial teleportation. As long as I want it to, it will automatically appear."
"Okay, please!" Pepper politely gestured for Alex to walk ahead of her. Although she was curious, she wouldn't ask casually.
"Let's go, Pepper. I also have something to tell you. We'll chat in the sky later."
"Okay, idol." Pepper also got a bit playful. She thought Alex meant they would chat on the plane in the sky, and she was very happy about it.
At this moment, Alex used her X-ray vision and Super Vision to scan around and found that Natasha had already boarded the plane and departed.
Alex guessed that Tony, being persistent, must have secretly contacted Natasha, assigned her a task, and also called her to the racetrack. As an agent on an undercover mission, Natasha naturally accepted the task gladly.
"Let's go, the two of us will go ahead, and let Tony and Happy follow us in his helicopter," Alex said. Before Pepper could react, she activated her bio-force field and directly carried Pepper into the air.
"Oh! My God!" Pepper first exclaimed, then quickly realized the situation. When she became aware that she was flying in the air, her face was full of excitement and joy. So this is what flying felt like, and she could even speak normally in the air.
"Ah! Ah! Ah! This is amazing, Alex, thank you so much. If you don't mind, I'll just call you Alex from now on. Although you look younger than me, you're so powerful and my idol," Pepper said excitedly.
Alex maintained a moderate flying speed, allowing them to enjoy the panoramic views and scenery of the city below.
High in the sky, Pepper could even see the distant coastline and the clear blue sky, a view she had never experienced before.
"You're welcome. Since you're calling me Alex, I'll call you Pepper from now on, alright?" Alex said with a smile.
Pepper nodded happily: "Okay, I super love that name!"
The two of them flew happily in the blue sky and white clouds. Pepper was incredibly excited, becoming one of the few ordinary people in the world to be flown by Superwoman. This experience was simply a dream come true for her.
"Pepper, I have something to tell you. Tony has palladium poisoning."
"What? ..."
After Alex finished telling Pepper about Tony's situation in the air, she took Pepper to the racetrack. Soon after, Tony also arrived, with Happy following behind him.
Pepper looked at Tony with a worried expression. She was concerned about the palladium poisoning in Tony's body, but after hearing Alex say she had a solution, she decided to wait until after Tony's race to bring it up. For now, it was best not to spoil his enthusiasm for the competition.
"Happy, no matter what happens later, be flexible!"
Tony was instructing Happy. He had a premonition that something might go wrong with this race, but he really didn't want to give up participating. Besides, with Superwoman Alex Rivers' powerful abilities now, what was there to worry about?
"Be flexible?"
Happy was completely bewildered.
Tony didn't explain and walked directly to the race's hospitality area with Pepper. Unexpectedly, as soon as they entered, they met "Natalie."
"Stark, hello. Was your flight smooth?" Natasha, dressed in an elegant red dress, blocked Tony's path and greeted him.
"Very good. I'm super happy to see you!" Tony replied.
"Hmm... you don't mind if a photographer follows along, do you?" Natasha said with a smile, looking at Pepper.
Pepper looked puzzled and immediately turned to Tony: "What? When did you arrange this?"
"Because you wouldn't help me, I had to figure it out myself," Tony said, tilting his head and whispering, looking smug. Since Pepper wouldn't help him, he believed he could still successfully win over "Natalie."
"Tony! You..."
Pepper thought about Tony's palladium poisoning, yet his interest remained undiminished, and she was about to scold him.
"Alright, alright, hurry up and smile, look at the camera, don't frown." Tony interrupted her, already posing for the camera.
Seeing the camera filming, Pepper couldn't say anything more. She could only force herself to be cheerful, quickly adjust to a proper demeanor, and squeeze out a perfunctory smile.
Next, Tony happily accepted interviews from reporters and talked at length about the upcoming race.
"Tony, Alex is gone. Did you notice her?"
"That's not right? She was following us just now."
