Chapter 35 - The Eleventh Brave~4

The Shy Girl led Henry to what should have been her home, only to find that the house was gone. She quickly asked the nearby villagers about her family.

The villagers told her that a year ago, her family had accidentally been caught in a gang conflict. Their house was burned to the ground, and they hadn't had time to escape.

Hearing this, the Shy Girl broke down in tears. Henry understood the pain of losing someone important. Silently, he held her, saying nothing. Let she cried freely in his arms.

During the time spent traveling with the braves, Henry gradually stopped being cold and learned how to interact with others.

The Shy Girl only stopped crying when night fell. She thanked Henry, and at that moment, her stomach growled. Henry didn't point it out; instead, he said he was hungry too and invited her to eat with him.

Walking through the streets, Henry and the Shy Girl encountered the Flirty Boy. He looked completely uninterested and ignored the two of them.

The Shy Girl called out to him, asking about his situation. The Flirty Boy explained that his father had died a year ago in a gang conflict. Now he was alone, and even his home was gone.

The Shy Girl then shared her own story. The Flirty Boy, as if finding a companion, hugged her. Seeing her panic and reluctance, Henry quickly pulled him away. The Flirty Boy looked at Henry in surprise, apparently not having noticed Henry before.

The three of them eventually reached a restaurant, where they encountered the other eight braves. It seemed they had gathered here for the same reason.

All of them had lost their families, and all the losses were connected to the gang conflicts a year ago—either by being involved or being caught up in them.

The Long-haired Boy proposed avenging their families by eliminating all the gangs, and almost everyone agreed.

Henry didn't try to stop them. After all, he had killed many demons in the same way. He neither actively supported nor opposed their plan, remaining neutral.

Henry noticed the anger on everyone's faces—they seemed to have already made their decision.

Two people walked past behind Henry. Their conversation caused the braves to stand up in agitation, pressing them for information. Under the pressure, the two hurriedly revealed that a gang battle would occur three days later on the central street.

The Handsome Boy declared that he would act as a third-party force, eliminate all the gangs, and then establish a country here, becoming its king.

The other nine braves agreed, and Henry also felt that the Handsome Boy had the leadership skills to make it happen.

After finishing their meal, Henry wanted to leave. The braves were still discussing, with murderous intent, how to wipe out the gangs. He had no need to involve himself in their plans.

Henry stood up and left. No one noticed him. After walking for a long while, he started to run. The hometown was roughly three days away. With magic to enhance his physical abilities, he could reach it quickly.

Over the past two years, Henry had discovered the existence of non-elemental magic—a type of magic anyone could use. It had no offensive magic, mostly enhancement magic, like increasing strength, speed, and defense.

Most importantly, Henry had created storage magic, allowing him to keep many items in a separate space where time didn't pass, making it possible to preserve food.

Henry hadn't told the braves about non-elemental magic. In their eyes, he was just an ordinary person, and the fact that anyone could use non-elemental magic was something he would only learn later.

After a full day, Henry finally returned to his longed-for hometown. Sitting before his friend's grave, he didn't forget the most important thing—he spoke first: the demon king had been defeated.

At that moment, Henry became his old self again, happily recounting all he had experienced over the years. Yet he eventually broke down in tears, saying how he wished he could travel the world with his friend—two of them together would be far happier than one alone.

After crying through the night, Henry dreamed of his friend. Smiling, his friend told him to find a good place in life, promising to silently watch over him and support his decisions.

When Henry woke, he made a decision in his heart: he would live happily.

First, he would return to the braves' place—he was very curious how they would proceed to eliminate the gangs.

It was three days later in the afternoon when Henry returned. The streets were eerily silent, not a single soul in sight. Turning a corner, he spotted Shy Girl walking alone and hurried over to speak to her.

The moment she saw Henry, she threw herself into his arms, furiously demanding to know where he had been.

Henry casually replied that he had gone outside the town to fetch something and quickly shifted the topic, asking about the situation in the streets. Shy Girl explained that the gangs were about to start fighting, and the townspeople had been fleeing Central Street since the morning.

Suddenly, Henry heard a rush of footsteps. He grabbed Shy Girl and ducked into a nearby building. Peering through the window, he saw two groups facing off against each other.

Then, a figure appeared in the middle. Henry instantly recognized him as Handsome Boy. He raised his hand, launching a massive fire spell into the sky, then drew his sword and loudly declared that he would establish a kingdom here—starting by eradicating the gangs.

Henry watched as both gangs froze in fear at the sight of Handsome Boy's fire magic and fled immediately. The battle ended before it even began. Residents cautiously stepped out, clapping and praising Handsome Boy, showing their support for him to become king. Soon, more and more townspeople gathered around him.

Henry and Shy Girl emerged from the building just as the other braves arrived. Handsome Boy then revealed their identities as braves and announced plans to teach the townspeople magic. At first, the residents didn't understand, but after Handsome Boy's explanation, they became thrilled and excited.

Every few days, the braves would teach magic and combat skills in Central Street, as there was a dungeon outside town where valuable equipment materials could be obtained. That evening, after Handsome Boy had earned the residents' recognition, Henry was invited to join them for a meal.

The braves celebrated joyfully, and afterwards, Revealing Girl suggested that now that the matter was settled, they should challenge the dungeon. Everyone grew excited at the prospect, including Henry. After all, his previous mission had been accomplished. He felt light and free, and his curiosity about the dungeon—sparked the first time he had heard of it—had finally returned.
