After we came home, I went straight to my room. Too famished to do anything, I took a shower and changed into something more comfortable.
I tried not to think about my conversation with Damien and went through the few mails I hadn't responded to yet.
Somewhere along the line, the idea to open an Etsy shop was an interesting pursuit after I realized that I could make bags. My bags sold fast and I had gotten busy with trying to sort out customer orders.
By the time I was done packaging the last bag, the sun had begun to dip behind the tall Ardorian hills. The sky bled into soft shades of orange and pink, washing my room in a calm, warm light.
For the first time in a while, I felt something close to peace. It wasn't perfect absolute even though my mind still thought of Damien every now and then but it was quiet enough for me to breathe freely.
