The next morning in the blink of an eye.
One minute I was lying on the bed in the dark, staring at the ceiling and trying not to think about Damien, and the next, it was already morning and not only did I have to force myself out of the bed, today was the day my friends were leaving.
My friends were already moving around the house by the time I woke up. They were getting ready for their flights. I dragged myself up and left the room, finding them in the kitchen, half-dressed, half-awake, and rushing around the counter like they were in some early morning cooking show.
"Morning," I muttered, rubbing my eyes.
Maya handed me a plate immediately. "Eat. We're leaving in thirty minutes, and if I'm hungry on that plane, I'll blame all of you."
Camille laughed. "She's been dramatic since five a.m."
Liv rolled her eyes.
"She woke me up asking if I thought her suitcase zipper looked suspicious like they'd ever stop her knowing who she is."
