Dylan continued his march into the dark woods until he met another ghoul, he didn't wait for it to attack him as he immediately attacked first, but as if sensing the danger coming at it, the ghoul whipped his long arm intercepting the slash making Dylan cut off his arm.
"Tch, damn monster." Dylan muttered before seeing his arm healing and growing back again at an incredible speed making him sigh.
"Right, regeneration, what`s more to expect from a lesser class of a vampire race?" he said with sarcasm dripping from his lips before he moved again with super speed that made him look like a blur slashing at both the legs of the ghoul making it lose balance and fall before Dylan spun and cut its head effortlessly.
As the head fell, the rest of the body also fell on the ground before it turned to dust.
Rustle!
Suddenly, he heard several footsteps coming at him before he saw several ghouls coming with deep hunger in their eyes.
Grrrrrr…
They growled at him before they charged whipping their long arms at Dylan who dodged and maneuvered them with ease before cutting the first`s head and slashed at the second`s arm cutting it before he kicked it in the stomach sending it flying backward crashing into the tree. Dylan moved, displaying a skill that could put many sword masters to shame, his body moved like a blur evading attacks and counter attacking cutting three heads in a row before the ghoul that he had cut its arm and kicked in the stomach came jumping on him while whipping its arms at him.
Dylan jumped high and flipped backward landing on the shoulders of another ghoul then jumped up again making a spinning movement and cut the ghoul`s head off then moved and jumped again to the other ghoul and cut off its head, displaying acrobatic movements, Dylan was a force that couldn't be stopped, killing many ghouls in the process.
His sword moved as if it had a mind of its own, knowing where to strike and where to block. The fight continued with Dylan against the ghouls that jumped at him and whipped while growling with deep hunger in their red glowing eyes, but he outmaneuvered them and span the katana in his hand cutting several arms in the process before making a horizontal slash cutting their heads off.
Time passed until Dylan finished the small horde of ghouls with blood staining his body, but he didn't care and just showed a toothy sharp smile that made him look like a hungry beast, he felt his blood boiling and pumping hard, excitement flashing in his eyes as he looked forward, he could sense it, a strong monster ahead, stronger than any monster that he had faced till this point.
He took a deep breath calming himself down then said, "Here we go." And moved toward his target.
As he moved, he could feel the oppressive aura of the monster ahead pressing down on him as if trying to crush him but Dylan didn't back down and showed a very strong will but more than that, a deep-seated hunger was coming out of him shown by the excited smile on his face.
[You turned him into a battle freak!] an energetic voice said inside him but Dylan didn't hear it.
[But he looks so damn hot like that too.] the same energetic voice said again.
[Well, what to say, this is my dear~] Unohana said with lust deep in her voice.
[He didn't turn into a battle maniac but this is the real him, the real Dylan and you know that very well, little girl.] a deep enigmatic voice said.
[Yeah, but I liked the normal Dylan more, he feels gentle and cute.] the same energetic voice said again.
[Sigh, what a bother, you are just contradicting yourself.] another voice joined in.
[Despite what happened, he is still the same~] an excited yet magnetic voice said.
[Well, of course~]
As Dylan walked toward that strong aura filled with lust for blood and hunger for killing, he focused ahead, not letting his guard down for a moment.
Reaching a clearing surrounded by trees in a circular way, Dylan looked at the center to see a monster with dark black aura of death coming out of it, it was standing tall with a height of 2m, clearly taller than him, its dark red eyes gleaming with deep hunger as it looked at Dylan.
Grrrr…
It growled deeply; the long black hair made it look terrifying while the black aura seeping out of him pressing down on Dylan trying to make him kneel and feel fear.
"I knew it, if there are soldiers then there must be a commander." He said as he looked at the tall imposing figure of the monster.
"A ghoul king, a worthy opponent." He said before readying his blade then moved at him with incredible speed as if he was a blur, but the ghoul king didn't make any move, it just stood there looking at the charging Dylan. This made him confused but he didn't care and as he reached him, he made a strong horizontal slash at his neck intending to cut it off, but thenـــــ
Clang!
"!!"
"What?!"
Dylan couldn't help but look shocked as his katana couldn't cut the neck, the katana that could cut anything like hot knife with butter was stopped and couldn't cut a neck.
This was absurd but it was the reality.
"How?" he wondered before he jumped back and looked at the still standing ghoul king with a deep frown.
The ghoul king grinned showing its shark like teeth mocking Dylan`s failed attempt to cut its neck off, but Dylan wasn't someone who could be provoked easily like that because he knew that if he did, then it would be his end.
He took deep breaths before a grin of his own spread across his face because now the fight became more interesting with this hurdle in front of him.
Seeing the grin on Dylan`s face, the ghoul king stopped grinning and frowned as he didn't like that at all. Although ghouls are mindless creatures, the ghoul king has some intelligence and can understand that Dylan isn't afraid of him.
Grrrr…
He growled at him before charging at Dylan leaving a trail of black aura behind him, Dylan looked at the charging ghoul king before he also moved at him with his incredible speed that made him look like a blur.
As both closed in each other stepping into each other`s attack range, they immediately attacked fiercely with the ghoul king strong punch and Dylan`s sword slash.

A/N: I know it's getting boring but bear with me a little, after he finishes the battle against the ghoul king, I will make the pace quite fast, so we can go to the main thing which is roaming the multiverse, just bear with me. And also, I will not make the mc overwhelmingly overpowered, his potential is vast but he still need to work more on his strength even after this arc.
