To Minx, it seemed like eons before the war started. She focused on her family and studying the materials she had access to. Raven came to her and told her she needed to watch a battle.
Minx pulled the stream up and watched as Sunny, the leader of the 5th Family, led the subclasses into the battle against the dalki. Only ten percent of the subclasses were lost while all the forces of the dalki were lost. After that, Bonnie and Void were told to not follow the forces. The results were reported to Bonnie but she had no footage of the other battles.
Minx recognized the wendigos as the vision of her time in the mountain on the vampire planet returned to her mind. They all ran for their lives. When Quinn fell down a deep chasm and they worried he was gone forever.
The next thing Bonnie shared was sometime later. Minx was unable to keep track of time. She kept herself busy. Every free moment she had, she fell into despair worrying about her family and friends that were out there fighting while she was safe in her shelter. It was easy to be busy with the emergency shelter full of refugees. They would be able to live on the surface again, on a different planet, once all this was over.
Minx turned the footage on to see fighting happening at the new vampire settlement on the planet that used to be the home of her friend Helen. Within the footage, she could see Sam and Vincent, who Quinn put in a cloned body of himself. Lee, Fex's father was there as well.
Bonnie managed to film a mothership coming in to land. Three dalki walked out. What the camera showed was terrifying. Somehow the leader of the dalki had cloned Slicer, One-horn and Green horn – the three 5-spike dalki that had already been defeated. Only these three had more human features. These were part of what had been called the new-gen dalki.
When the dalki took away the dragon from Blade Island, they used it to splice human DNA with dalki but not just any humans. This time it was with the humans who had been held captive from the daisy planet. These three dalki were evidence of the attempt to make a complete dalki. One that could reproduce, not have a time limit on their life span.
These new dalki started destroying the shelter, tearing down all the defenses the world watched Quin build up months ago – towers that fired at enemies, gargoyles that attacked those trying to gain entry, and the tall, thick walls Quinn so thoughtfully provided. All was being destroyed in front of her eyes.
Minx was excited when she saw a new attack. Blazing green fire erupted from nowhere. The camera panned in the direction it came from. It was a green-skinned female, one Minx knew quite well. Serene threw another vial and more fire erupted. Minx knew her friend only had a few vials but any dalki that fire hit was sure to die. It was a sticky oil that burned until there was nothing left. Serene wasn't a fighter but her special Hell Fire killed six dalki before she was forced to retreat from the wall. The camera picked up the music of their terrified screams as their life force was extinguished.
Then, like heroes, the Blade family, including her beloved husband appeared on the screen. She could see Owen Greylash, Layla, Jake, who was one of the vampire leaders, Mona, and Fex. The strongest amongst the forces of good were there but one was missing. Minx noticed the faces of her friends. Her family. They were tired. Their armor dented in some cases, covered in blood. Still. They saw what had arrived on the planet. She heard the camera pick up Fex demanding an all-expense-paid honeymoon after this was over as he and the others headed toward the monsters.
Then, like a gift, Quinn showed up and told the others to rest. He went through all the dalki. With one punch he killed each of the 5-spikes. None of them stood a chance. Minx, with baby strapped to her front was on her feet cheering, throwing fists, imitating Quinn with each punch, her face alight with his ferocity.
When there were no other dalki on the field, Quinn searched around, trying to find the dalki named Graham. Their leader. Their mastermind. At one point while Quinn was fighting, Minx heard Sil's voice, "is Quinn getting stronger?"
She was glad she wasn't the only one who noticed. Suddenly, the camera panned to a dune not far off. There was a 7-spike dalki with Sunny being held by her head in one hand and in the other hand….
"MINNYYYYYYYY!" Minx screamed at the screen. "NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Tears streamed down her face. She knew Graham and Quinn were discussing the situation but all she could see was that innocent little girl in the hands of that monster and she wanted to squeeze HIS head and see how he liked it….
Minx watched as Graham dropped Minny. She saw her disappear quickly in shadow then Sunny also vanished from Graham's grip to appear at Quinn's side then also vanished in shadow.
Minx watched as the two engaged in combat. Graham didn't seem happy that his little ploy of human versus vampire backfired, but Quinn didn't seem to care that he had just angered a 7-spike dalki. A being that no other person alive today would stand a chance against.
Graham threw out a punch and the king's castle was instantly leveled. Jin Talon, another vampire leader ordered the settlement to be evacuated, to watch the battle from above. Muka joined the others as they got the weaker people off planet. At some point, Graham punched Arthur's sword away from Quinn's hand. Minx was shocked he could hit Quinn hard enough to cause it to leave his grip.
Suddenly Quinn collapsed.
Owen was suddenly on the battlefield with Genbu. Graham hit Genbu's shell and it shattered, sending him back into Owen.
Max whispered inside her head, he's going to take a long time to recover from that.
Sil was there as well with his abilities. Minx didn't like him being there one bit. He was exhausted. He needed rest which increased the risk of him making a mistake.
The camera picked up what they were saying. Several people said things but Sil's words, "I'm out of MC" struck terror in her heart.
Minx was sitting on the edge of her seat, terrified. Suddenly, Graham transformed into a werewolf-dalki half-breed and Minx's tears turned green…
"No no no no no no no no….." her eyes were glued to the screen, "please don't die Sil… PLEASE!"
Samantha, Logan, Sam, Linda and Dennis were standing back with Quinn, having carried him closer to what remained of the walls. Quinn's body was wracked in pain.
Graham was engaged by three different groups at once. On the left side were Sil, Vorden, Raten and Borden, who was a 5-spkie. In the middle were the vampires Vincent, Jin Talon, Katorie Cha, Jake Muskat, Dillan, Lee, Silver, and Fex. On the right were Layla, Peter, Nate, Owen, and Mona.
The vampires got there first. Lee, Fex, and Silver used their string to hold back Graham's arms while they attacked. Dillan was killed, shredded in fact. Which was followed by Gaham pulling on the strings and each of the three from the thirteenth family had an arm ripped off and were bleeding. Owen with lightning, Peter and Vincent all hit Graham at the same time and had no effect. Next, Peter's wights went in and they all died. Again.
Graham leapt into the air and grabbed Vorden. Minx screamed, the sound piercing the air in the room as she watched Graham rip Vorden's wings off him.
