On the Going Merry, Zoro and Chopper were rowing on one side, while Luffy and Usopp rowed on the other.
Nami stared at the group working together so enthusiastically and said speechlessly, "Why are you all so united and energetic when it comes to chasing a frog?"
Zoro replied, "I don't know why, but I just have a feeling I need to chase it."
Luffy added, "It's rare to find an injured frog. We have to catch it and make a roasted frog!"
"Huh?"
"So it is for eating?"
"There should only be one frog, right?"
Sanji calmly puffed out smoke and analyzed, "For a frog, you have to wash off the mucus with white wine, then coat it in flour and fry until golden brown—"
"Hey, hey! You two! Enough already!"
"Speaking of which, is Sandy thinking the same thing?"
Sandy, still swimming beside the ship, turned his head.
"Are you kidding me? Didn't you notice this frog has hair?"
"Huh? It really does!"
"Then what kind of frog is that?!"
Still swimming, Sandy looked at the frog.
"Hey, Frog, what kind of monster are you?"
"...Ribbit."
"..."
At that moment, Nami yelled, "Pay attention—there's a lighthouse ahead!"
The frog, swimming freely moments ago, suddenly leapt high and crouched, staring forward.
Sandy felt a jolt of dread. Could it be—!?
He quickly shouted, "Reverse the ship! Hurry!"
Luffy refused, "No! I'm gonna catch that frog!"
Ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling—
A rhythmic alarm echoed across the ocean. A Sea Train was approaching—something only Sandy recognized.
Seeing no other choice, Sandy activated his ability.
"Space Field!"
As the Going Merry slid past the lighthouse, a long Sea Train thundered forward—and the frog charged directly into its path.
Of course, the result was obvious: the frog was sent flying.
Sandy didn't even bother to comment.
Sanji's eyes widened. "What the hell is that?!"
Usopp shouted, "Why is there a giant iron ship?!"
Chopper asked, "A ship?"
Nami shook her head, "No way! How could something shaped like that travel on the sea?"
"That's a Sea Train," Sandy replied casually.
Sanji looked shaken. "No way!"
Sandy rolled his eyes. "The world is big—your horizons are too small."
"What did you say?!" Sanji snapped.
Luffy shouted, "Forget that! Is the frog okay?!"
Sandy raised a brow. "Does that have anything to do with us? Speaking of which…"
He turned toward the lighthouse's guard room.
Chopper stared at the train disappearing into the distance.
"That ship was still smoking…"
"That's not a ship…" Sandy sighed.
Before Sandy could finish, a little girl walked out of the guard room.
"Pirates? Grandma! Grandma! The Pirates are here!"
"Huh? Really? Chimney? Okay, grab the Den Den Mushi…"
A tipsy old woman staggered out—Kokoro.
She immediately tripped.
Usopp panicked, "Is she calling the Marines?!"
"Here, Grandma," Chimney said as she handed over the Den Den Mushi.
Kokoro lifted it.
"Hello? Hello? Uh… what was I gonna say? I forgot…"
Usopp's jaw dropped. "She was just drunk?!"
Sandy patted Zoro's shoulder with a smirk.
"Zoro, this is your future."
Zoro snapped, "What are you talking about, bastard?!"
Kokoro, noticing Luffy's hat, seemed to recognize something and didn't make the call.
Chimney introduced them, "My name is Chimney! This kitty is Gonbe, and the drunk one is Kokoro!"
Kokoro chuckled, "You're not train robbers, are ya? Mehehehe…"
Luffy introduced himself, "I'm Luffy! The man who'll become Pirate King!"
"Really?" Chimney asked.
"Of course!"
"Mehahaha!" Kokoro laughed. "You're interesting."
Nami asked, "Chimney, was that a steamship just now? How could something shaped like that sail on the sea?"
Sandy's face darkened. These idiots didn't believe him earlier.
"Never seen it before?" Chimney answered.
"Even if you searched the whole world, you'd only find it here. That's a Sea Train."
Sandy folded his arms smugly.
"See? I told you it was a train."
Chimney explained, "It uses steam power to turn the paddle wheels and moves along the Sea railway."
"Railway?" Usopp repeated.
"Yep! The rails are right under the water. The train travels between the same islands every day—carrying passengers, ships, and express mail."
Luffy leaned over the rail.
"There really are rails…"
Sandy rolled his eyes.
"That's not what matters. What matters is getting to our destination. Our ship is so worn down it feels like it'll fall apart any second."
Luffy immediately turned to Kokoro.
"Is there a place to repair ships here?!"
"Oh, there is." Kokoro replied, "Where does your Log Pose point?"
Nami checked.
"East."
"Then your next stop is Water 7! It's famous worldwide for its shipbuilding—best craftsmen in the world!"
"Really? Then there must be super-strong shipwrights there!" Luffy exclaimed.
"More than just a few!" Kokoro laughed.
Luffy grinned, "It's settled! We'll find a shipwright to join our crew!"
"I see," Kokoro nodded. She handed them a map and a letter.
"This map will help. And this letter—give it to a man named Iceberg. He'll fix your ship. Water 7 is big—don't get lost!"
Sanji immediately smirked at Zoro.
"Did you hear that? Don't get lost."
"Huh?!" Zoro's face twisted.
Usopp sighed, "Grany Kokoro is really a good person."
Sandy dragged Sanji and Zoro away.
"Stop scratching your feet and talking nonsense. Let's hurry to Water 7 to buy wine and meat and see beautiful women—"
"Ohhhh!!"
"Right! Most important thing!"
"I wonder what kind of meat they have!"
"What kind of wine they have! I wanna try!"
"Beautiful womennnnn!! Here I come!"
"Hey! Weren't we supposed to repair the ship?!"
