As they were about to leave, Sandy still had a doubt lingering in his mind. He suddenly stopped walking.
The Straw Hat Pirates, who were ahead, turned to look at him. Luffy was the first to ask, "What's wrong? Something else?"
Sandy waved his hand. "Wait for me."
He walked up to Kokoro, held out his hand, raised one finger, and asked, "Grany Kokoro, how many fingers am I holding up?"

"You bastard, that's so boring! Can you please stop doing these stupid things?"
"Seriously, that idiot Sandy is too rude!"
"Grany Kokoro, this guy grew up in the mountains. He doesn't understand manners. Please forgive him…"
As the Straw Hats boarded the Going Merry and began to leave, Kokoro watched them with a gentle smile.
"Hehehe… they really are an interesting bunch of little troublemakers. So… is he the one you were waiting for, Roger?"
On the Going Merry, Sandy looked up at the ship whose main mast had already broken once.
"Everyone, can our ship still be repaired?" he asked.
Luffy replied without hesitation, "Of course!"
Usopp nodded confidently. "We have tons of gold. No problem!"
Sanji stepped onto the part of the hull that had once been patched after a leak. "Can this really be repaired?"
"Sanji, you bastard, don't stomp on that!" Usopp yelled.
Sandy rolled his eyes. "We're all amateurs when it comes to ships. Let the actual shipwrights evaluate it. But I need to say something in advance—you all have to prepare yourselves mentally."
The atmosphere suddenly turned serious.
Luffy asked, "Sandy… what do you mean?"
Sandy explained, "If the professional shipwrights determine that this ship can't continue anymore…"
"Don't say it!" Usopp shouted anxiously. "We need to confirm that first, right?"
"Yeah!" Sanji agreed. "Stop spouting nonsense, bastard!"
Usopp looked desperately at Luffy. "Luffy… we're not abandoning the Going Merry, right?"
"Yeah," Luffy nodded firmly. "No matter how much it costs, we're repairing the Going Merry."
Sandy stared at them. These guys… ships have life spans. When something is truly broken, it's broken. You can't just fix everything with sheer willpower…
If that were possible, there'd be no tragedies in the world.
No matter how much it costs? Sandy sighed internally. These guys are definitely illiterate…

"Chopper, his illness wasn't this serious before. Check if there's any hope of saving him?"
After getting beaten up by the crew, the Going Merry continued on, and soon, everyone saw their destination up ahead.
"Wow! What is that?!"
"Is that a giant fountain?! Sugoi!"
"It must be pumping seawater to the top and letting it flow back down!"
Sandy stepped forward thoughtfully. "Luffy, if we went all the way to the top and slept there… wouldn't it be super comfortable?"
Usopp stared at him. "How?! It's so high! The ship can't go up there!"
"No," Sanji said seriously. "With Sandy's ability, he definitely can go up."
Nami screamed, "No! Luffy!! Don't even think about it!"
Luffy's eyes sparkled, imagining himself bouncing around the top of the fountain.
Fortunately, his attention shifted as they approached Water 7 and stopped at a port after being directed by the citizens.
Usopp asked, "Everyone, what should we do first?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Luffy shouted. "We go buy meat!"
Sandy turned to Nami. "Didn't Kokoro give us a letter of introduction and a map? Shouldn't we find Iceberg first and talk to him about repairs?"
"Oh! Right!" Luffy nodded. "Nami, take it out!"
Nami blinked. "Ah! I almost forgot."
She opened the map… and froze.
"What is this?! Even a sketch shouldn't look like this! Who can understand this thing?!"
The drawing looked exactly like a kid's doodle.
Sandy rubbed his chin. "Did that little girl draw it?"
"Now that you say it…" Zoro nodded. "That seems likely."
Luffy immediately drew another picture in the same childish style.
He proudly turned it around. "Look! Does Iceberg look like this?!"
Everyone swallowed. Luffy's drawing skills were definitely first-grade level…
Nami threw the envelope to the ground in rage. "What is this?! A broken sketch, and even the letter of introduction is sloppy—was she serious?!"
"Hehehe." Robin smiled softly. "Why don't we try asking around? Also, we need to exchange our gold for Belly first."
"True," Nami nodded. "No one here will directly accept gold."
"Why not?" Luffy asked. "Isn't it easier to trade with gold?"
Sandy facepalmed. "If you buy a piece of meat and pay with gold, how will they give you change? Give you the whole stall?"
"Really?!" Luffy's eyes lit up. "There's something that good?! Then let's go—pay with gold!"
"Idiot!" Usopp shouted. "We'll lose money! We need to exchange it for Belly first!"
Finally, Sandy, Nami, Usopp—and Sandy again—took the gold to exchange for Belly before heading out to find a shipwright.
