Sandy asked calmly, "Are you a cat? Or maybe part of the leopard family? Or perhaps…"
Lucci replied coldly, "Mere Pirates. Don't think that just because you blocked one of my attacks, you can act arrogant in front of me. Finger Pistol—Yellow Lotus!"
Lucci's finger blurred as he unleashed dozens of rapid thrusts in an instant.
Sandy shoved Barry backward to safety, then slipped through Lucci's attack pattern with ease.
Lucci retracted his hand, frowning. "Paper Art? You actually know the Six Styles?"
Sandy rolled his eyes. "I don't know that technique. My eyesight is just good. Speaking of which—shouldn't you guys be leaving?"
"Yes," Lucci answered. "We still need to locate the other important target. Things here are finished. You are all useless now. Tempest Kick—"
The moment Lucci lifted his leg, Sandy's foot stopped it mid-air.
A single exchange was enough to reveal their difference in martial skill.
Everyone watching narrowed their eyes. Lucci's speed—was being overwhelmed by Sandy!
"Shave!"
Lucci vanished, reappearing behind Sandy with beastlike ferocity, his Zoan instincts triggered by frustration.
"Careful!!" Luffy and Zoro shouted.
"Boom!"
The shockwave from their clashing fists blasted the room again.
Lucci's expression grew colder. He wanted to continue. At this level, wasn't it lonely at the top?
But Sandy spoke first. "Your mission is already complete. Is it really okay to keep wasting time here?"
He wasn't afraid to fight. If they went all-out, they'd destroy half of Water 7. And Sandy had… other plans.
Kalifa checked the time. "Lucci. We're out of time."
Lucci paused, then reluctantly turned to leave. Before exiting, he gave Sandy one long, dangerous look.
Since their primary mission was to take Franky and Robin to Enies Lobby, they couldn't risk delays—not even for a worthy opponent.
Cipher Pol 9 disappeared into the night.
When they were finally gone, Barry exhaled shakily. "Why let him go? Couldn't you have beaten them?"
Sandy looked at the group speechlessly. "The fire downstairs is already spreading upward, and all of you are here. I can't protect this many people at once."
"Space Field—No Empty World."
Outside, the citizens saw flames suddenly vanish as if swallowed by thin air.
Inside, Sandy turned immediately to Luffy—and frowned.
His stomach looked punctured.
"Luffy!" Sandy hurried over. "Are you alright? Chopper! Don't just stand there—bandage everyone! Sob… sob… You guys better not die…"
Everyone paused.
Was he… pretending to cry?
"Hey, hey…" Zoro's face twitched.
"Damn it…" Luffy growled. "That pigeon-raising guy… I'll never forgive him…"
Sandy sighed. Did this idiot only learn from being beaten senseless?
He poked Luffy's forehead. "With his speed, you should be able to keep up. So why was your stomach pierced by his broken finger?"
Luffy protested, "You don't get it! He suddenly got bigger! I got distracted!"
Iceberg, sitting up shakily, said, "Straw Hats… about earlier… I want to apologize. Thank you for saving us."
Nami asked, "Don't worry about that. But your injuries—and Barry's—are really serious. Are you both okay?"
"I can still manage," Iceberg said. "But there's something I need to tell you about Robin."
"Robin?" Luffy blinked. "Uncle, did she say anything to you?"
Iceberg nodded. "I'll tell you everything. When you arrived on this island and Robin vanished, CP9's plan had already started.
Robin and I both possess the method to awaken Ancient Weapons capable of destroying the world."
"Destroy… the world?!" everyone yelled.
"Because of this," Iceberg continued, "CP9 offered Robin two conditions: frame you for assassination—and allow the World Government to use her."
"Why would Robin agree to that!?" Nami shouted.
Iceberg said quietly, "Because they threatened to use a Buster Call against you."
"Buster Call?" Zoro muttered.
"Yes. It summons ten warships and five Vice Admirals. If it targets you… there's no escape."
Sandy exhaled. "So Robin accepted to protect us. And in exchange, the Government would let us go… Hah."
Luffy stood up. "I don't care about any Government or any Buster Call. Robin is our friend. Right, everyone?"
"Yeah!!" Nami, Chopper, and the others responded.
"Then…" Luffy clenched his fist. "Let's go bring Robin back!"
Sandy rolled his eyes. "And how exactly will you chase them?"
"By sailing!" Luffy answered confidently.
"They're on the Sea Train. If we sail, the lilies will have wilted by the time we arrive."
Luffy blinked. "So… you have a plan?"
Sandy grinned. "Of course. But we can't rush."
Nami snapped, "What do you mean don't rush!? If Robin—"
"Calm down," Sandy interrupted. "After we rescue Robin, how do we retreat?"
"Retreat?" Chopper echoed.
"Yes," Sandy said. "If we don't prepare a withdrawal path, even if we save Robin, do we just float around waiting for the Navy to corner us?"
"That's a problem…" Luffy admitted. Then, suddenly, "Sandy! You're so smart! Are you a genius!?"
"Baka," Zoro muttered. "Not the time. Sandy, you really have a plan?"
Sandy nodded. "Yep. But I'll need Iceberg's help."
"Me?" Iceberg asked.
"This is a shipyard," Sandy said. "You must have good ships. I want you to send a fleet to pick us up. We'll handle the rescue. You bring us home."
Iceberg stared at them like they were insane. "That's Enies Lobby. Breaking in… you must be crazy."
Luffy adjusted his hat. "We're not crazy. We're just rescuing our friend."
Barry stepped forward. "I'll help."
Sandy plucked a cigar from Barry's pocket. "Hehe. Was waiting for you to say that."
Bang.
Sandy drew his pistol to light the cigar—
Which caused chaos as people downstairs thought Iceberg was being assassinated again.
"…," everyone in the room stared at him.
