"What did you do?" Vincent asked, startled, facing the mysterious Sorcerer Ancient One.
He increasingly felt that something was wrong; the pedestrians bustling on the sidewalk weren't just failing to see the Sorcerer Ancient One.
Even Vincent himself began to go unnoticed by passersby.
Some pedestrians, treating the Sorcerer Ancient One and Vincent as if they were air, seemingly didn't see them and walked straight into them, eerily passing right through their bodies!
The Sorcerer Ancient One and Vincent seemed to be in an incorporeal state.
"Nothing much. I just pulled you, and that little beast in your backpack, into the Mirror Dimension," the Sorcerer Ancient One said with a faint smile.
"Mirror Dimension?" Vincent frowned.
Just then.
The red light at the intersection switched to green, leaving only the two of them standing on the sidewalk, and the vehicles on the road all started moving.
Vincent instinctively dodged the vehicles starting and driving past him, while the Sorcerer Ancient One in front remained motionless, letting the accelerating vehicles crash into her body—
No, they didn't crash!
The vehicles, like the pedestrians just now, passed directly through the Sorcerer Ancient One's body!
Vincent tried to touch the body of a car driving past, but he couldn't reach its physical form; a strange scene of shattered glass appeared where his fingertips touched.
"Are we, in a mirror..." Vincent murmured to himself, as if realizing something.
The Sorcerer Ancient One nodded, explaining softly: "More precisely, we are in another dimension. This dimension is very close to our real world, like a mirror's separation, so we call it the 'Mirror Dimension,' making it convenient for observing the real world."
"You all?" Vincent raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, us." The Sorcerer Ancient One looked at Vincent, stating plainly: "I come from the Kamar-Taj sanctuary; I am a Sorcerer Supreme."
"Sorcerer..."
Vincent pondered for a moment, his hand still on the zipper of his backpack, not moving it: "Sorcerer Ancient One. May I ask, what do you want with me?"
If an emergency arose later, he could only let Little Emperor bite him to gain extraordinary abilities.
However, Little Emperor currently had the dormant Venom parasitic within her, and if he were bitten by Little Emperor, he might transform into the three-in-one extraordinary state from before.
The three-in-one state would blur and distort personality and rationality, making his behavior more like an evil villain.
There was also another way, which was to directly let the Flerken Cub act... "I have no ill intentions; I just want to invite you to Kamar-Taj for a visit."
The Sorcerer Ancient One seemed to know Vincent's wariness, looking at him calmly: "But, even if I say so, you won't believe it, will you?"
She looked down at the backpack on Vincent's chest and suddenly suggested, "How about this, let her try."
"You said it." Vincent didn't hesitate, suddenly calling out: "Little Emperor!"
Accompanying his call, an orange-yellow figure suddenly leaped out from the zipper opening of the backpack hanging on his chest!
Little Emperor, a Flerken Cub of an alien species, swiftly pounced towards the Sorcerer Ancient One!
Her small mouth grotesquely split open into a gaping maw, and several tentacles full of tiny teeth enveloped the Sorcerer Ancient One's body!
The Sorcerer Ancient One's face was calm, watching the approaching tentacles and fangs, and her right hand, which had been clasped behind her back, suddenly shot out a palm!
Bang—
The moment the Sorcerer Ancient One's palm struck Little Emperor's body, a yellow phantom resembling a Flerken, and a phantom shaped like a mass of black liquid, were simultaneously slapped out from Little Emperor's back!
As for Little Emperor's main body, she fainted, reverting to her original appearance as an ordinary kitten, and fell back into Vincent's arms.
Little Emperor's phantom floated in the air, calling out in surprise: "Meow?"
The Venom phantom remained motionless, floating low in the air as if dead.
"They're fine, I just slapped their souls out," the Sorcerer Ancient One withdrew her palm, explaining calmly.
"That's a bit much..." Vincent's mouth twitched slightly; he felt that even the three-in-one might not be enough to fight the current Sorcerer Ancient One.
After all, she wasn't playing with physical attacks at all.
Right.
He remembered his aunt's Lasso of Truth could bind all things; perhaps that could deal with entities involving souls... The Sorcerer Ancient One continued: "Now, do you believe what I said? I have no ill intentions towards you; I just want to invite you to Kamar-Taj."
If some people who knew the inside story found out, they would probably doubt everything that was happening before their eyes.
Kamar-Taj.
That was the legendary Sanctuary of Miracles, an unknowable place that many people sought their entire lives but could never enter!
"Alright, I'll go. Where is it?" Vincent saw the Sorcerer Ancient One's sincerity, and he genuinely wanted to explore the mysteries of the magic and spellcasting in this world, so he nodded in agreement.
"Here." The Sorcerer Ancient One first pointed her finger, making the Flerken's soul and the Venom's soul fall back into the Flerken's body. She then raised her palm and inexplicably drew circles in the air, accompanied by the appearance of scorching fire and its rotation into a wheel, quickly forming a circular portal large enough for a person to pass through!
Seeing the Sorcerer Ancient One step into the strange portal.
Vincent wasn't afraid, and holding the gradually awakening Little Emperor, he followed her inside... Kamar-Taj, the secluded residence in Kathmandu.
On the open-air training ground of the sanctuary.
Mordo, dressed in a black robe, was acting as a magic instructor, leading a dozen or so Sorcerers of all ages in magic practice.
At this moment, the air next to them suddenly rippled like broken glass.
It was the Mirror Dimension.
However, even the most profound Sorcerer Mordo could not clearly see the things within the Mirror Dimension at this time.
As if realizing something, Sorcerer Mordo was slightly moved, and with a mix of respect and fervor, he and the other Sorcerers bowed towards the void where the glass-like surface rippled: "Sorcerer Supreme!"
"Continue." The Sorcerer Ancient One's voice came from within the Mirror Dimension.
"Alright, let's continue training!" Sorcerer Mordo seemed a bit excited, as the Sorcerer Supreme hadn't personally watched them practice in a long time, so he immediately led the Sorcerers on the training ground to begin practicing their magic.
What they didn't know was.
At this moment, within the Mirror Dimension.
Besides the Sorcerer Ancient One, there was also a young man holding a cat.
In the Mirror Dimension, as if standing on the real training ground, Vincent intently watched the Sorcerers outside the sanctuary; they all wore strange rings on their hands, seemingly using them as magical conduits to conjure golden energy shields, energy whips, and even draw the cool and dazzling portals from earlier.
He hadn't expected that, besides organizations formed by superheroes, there was also such a sizable force of Sorcerers hidden in the world.
Vincent's eyes lit up slightly.
Regardless of how effective this magic was in actual combat, its practicality seemed very good!
For example, with a portal, he would never be late for school again... "How is it?"
The Sorcerer Ancient One looked at Vincent, smiling faintly as if intentionally guiding him: "If you want to learn, I'll teach you."
