On the coast of Crete Island.
The ancient white temple has stood here since an unknown era. Due to the complete preservation of its architectural appearance and internal structure, it remains a major civilization relic that many archaeologists are fascinated by and study to this day.
It was late at night.
While local firefighters were putting out the fire around the relic, two figures, one large and one small, walked naturally inside the temple relic. They were a black-haired woman wearing strange ancient battle armor and weapons, and a silver-haired young man draped in a plain white long trench coat.
Sensing the traces of divine power remaining in the temple.
Wonder Woman and Vincent quickly arrived at an open-air fire chamber, where flames were still fiercely burning and spewing out. This was clearly the source of the great fire that engulfed the Amazon temple.
As if sensing the arrival of a supreme divine presence, the flames within the temple's fire chamber suddenly slowed down and extinguished, revealing the most central item inside the chamber.
Vincent, in his demigod mode, immediately entered the chamber, bent down, and directly pulled out an arrow that was diagonally stuck in the floor.
The arrowhead glittered with the chill of a midnight starry sky, and the arrow seemed to be plated with a layer of dark gilded gold. The shaft had mysterious Greek inscriptions, just like the material and craftsmanship of the various artifacts on his aunt's body.
Another artifact?
When Vincent held it in his hand, he could clearly feel a vigorous and scorching divine power lurking and hidden within it.
Wonder Woman looked at the arrow in his hand and said softly, "That is the Arrow of Artemis, capable of passing through Themyscira's barrier and reaching the human world here. Mother shot it from Themyscira to here, lighting an ancient beacon fire, likely to give us a warning."
"Alien invasion?" Vincent murmured, gripping the divine arrow like a weapon in his hand.
"Exactly. As for who the enemy is, there might be information left here." Wonder Woman walked to the deepest part of the temple's fire chamber and suddenly placed her slender hand on a spot on the wall.
Divine power activated a mechanism at that moment, causing a sturdy, sealed stone wall on one side to sink inward. Amidst countless falling broken stones and dust, a tunnel that had not been opened for thousands of years was revealed.
The underground part of the tunnel, of unknown depth, was dark and silent, imbued with the aura of ancient times.
"Let's go." Wonder Woman pulled out her Lasso of Truth with one hand and extended her other hand towards Vincent.
Vincent took her hand, which was cool and smooth like jade.
Thump! Thump!
Vincent and Wonder Woman jumped down into the tunnel, falling twenty meters before reaching the underground space beneath the temple.
Wonder Woman lightly flicked her left hand upward, and the Lasso of Truth coiled and floated like a firefly, its golden glow providing dim illumination.
Vincent, meanwhile, felt in his trench coat's inner pocket, pulled out his phone, and selected the flashlight mode—
The phone immediately emitted a dazzling white light, like a small flashlight, illuminating the white stone steps that led downwards.
The phone, forever divine!
"Times have changed, Auntie." Vincent winked triumphantly.
Wonder Woman calmly retracted her Lasso of Truth and flicked her finger on the young man's smooth forehead, causing Vincent to wisely shut his mouth.
Under the light provided by the phone.
Vincent and Wonder Woman continued to descend the stone steps, finally reaching a truly hidden underground chamber.
Wonder Woman had a thought and said, "Shine your phone on the wall."
Vincent did as he was told, raising his phone towards the large chamber, instantly illuminating a huge mural adorned with strange patterns and ancient Greek text.
Vincent's eyes widened. Although he couldn't understand the text, he immediately recognized one of the patterns—
Wasn't it the metal box he had seen on the stone altar in the main hall of the building where he lived on Themyscira?
However, there were three boxes in the mural, and they were depicted as a trinity connected together.
Vincent continued to look to the side, and what met his eyes was a grand mural depicting an ancient battle scene.
Hmm, an ancient battle with giant cosmic warships appearing.
Wonder Woman looked at the ancient Greek text above, her exquisite and beautiful face growing more solemn, and began to explain: "It records an ancient battle that happened a very, very long time ago. The invading enemies were a dark and ancient cosmic force. They wanted to invade Earth and conquer the world. The leader of the invading alien fleet was named — Darkseid!"
"Darkseid…" Vincent mused.
Wonder Woman looked at the mural and said, "This name is cursed and feared throughout the universe. At that time, the Guardians of Earth fought a great war with Darkseid. Forces such as Old Gods, humans, Amazonians, Guardians from the stars, and Atlantis participated."
"And just as Darkseid was instigating the war, he discovered a secret on Earth, a power hidden in infinite space!"
"What power?" Vincent frowned, suddenly remembering the Tesseract and Mind Stone he had acquired. The power hidden within those two mysterious items was unfathomable.
"We cannot know what secret he discovered." Wonder Woman shook her head and continued, "But it is clear that Darkseid was eager to get his hands on it, so he used the three mother boxes created by their Apokolips civilization — living, indestructible Apokolips technological products. When the three mother boxes are combined as a trinity, the power they generate is enough to refine an entire planet, making Earth completely a world controlled by Darkseid!"
"He failed." Vincent said.
After all, if the other party had achieved his goal, there would be no Earth as it is now.
Wonder Woman nodded: "Yes, the ancient Earth Guardians united and expelled Darkseid and his fleet from Earth."
"As for those three mother boxes, to prevent them from summoning Apokolips again, one was managed by the human forces of that time, one was handed over to the Atlantis nation, and you know the whereabouts of the last mother box; it is hidden within our Amazon tribe's Themyscira."
"The situation is not optimistic, is it?" Vincent's eyes narrowed slightly. Themyscira lighting a beacon to warn them clearly meant that one mother box had already fallen into the hands of the Apokolips forces that had infiltrated Earth.
If the other party were to find the remaining two mother boxes, the consequences would be unimaginable.
"Auntie. What do you plan to do next?" Vincent looked at Wonder Woman beside him.
Wonder Woman raised her heroic eyebrows: "We can't delay any longer. I will go find those two people I mentioned the day after tomorrow and ask them to join the Justice League. We must quickly assemble a powerful enough team to prepare for the infiltrated Apokolips forces."
"Don't forget me. With you, I can also fight." Vincent took a deep breath and said in a deep voice.
"Of course, you are the real trump card. If I need you then, I will not forget you." Wonder Woman smiled slightly, reaching out to touch Vincent's black hair.
However, at this moment, Vincent did not notice that a strange and resolute look flashed in her eyes!
