Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 Exchanging for the Shikai Zanpakuto

"Don't worry, Saito-senpai, I'll definitely persuade Rukia and the others to come to the Kendo Club!" Renji patted his chest firmly and solemnly promised Arata.

Although Arata didn't know what reasons he would use to convince them, he was looking forward to the scene of the four kids joining the Kendo Club together. He could already see a great wave of destiny value surging toward him.

After sending off a satisfied Renji, the system started ringing again.

[Yamada Ichiro's fate has changed because of you, you gain 9 destiny points.]

[Umehara's fate has changed because of you, you gain 8 destiny points.]

[Kira Izuru's fate…]

[Kuchiki Rukia's fate…]

[Hisagi Shūhei's fate has changed because of you, you gain 31 destiny points.]

[Abarai Renji's fate has changed because of you, you gain 40 destiny points.]

[Kanisawa Hotaru and Aoga's fate has changed because of you, you gain 25 destiny points.]

...

After hearing a series of system prompts, Arata's eyes immediately lit up. The system's judgment had finally been activated!

In addition to the group of six resurrected individuals, even Shuhei, Renji, and the others were included in the judgment. This wave increased his destiny value by a total of 388 points.

Arata quickly opened the system panel and looked.

[Host: Saito Arata]

[Unlocked Item: Spirit King Bloodline (Incomplete)]

[Destiny value: 626]

With destiny value over 600, he could finally exchange for [Zanpakuto Shikai]!

Arata was very happy and decided to treat Kanisawa and the other two to a good meal.

After all, the smooth opening of the Kendo Club today was inseparably linked to their efforts in promotion.

Kanisawa and her companions gladly agreed. They were a bit hungry after listening to the kendo class all morning, so it was great to have someone treat them.

This time Arata didn't go to the Seireitei Izakaya, but instead chose a large restaurant run by the Omaeda family.

Everyone ate heartily, knowing that Arata was a noble. Although his family had somewhat declined, a skinny camel was still bigger than a horse. He had plenty of money and lacked nothing serious.

At least, he was much wealthier than the ordinary residents of Rukongai.

After eating and drinking, Arata originally wanted to suggest returning to the Kendo Club for some special training. After all, although those three weren't important characters in the original work, they at least appeared in the story, so there was a possibility that their destiny values could suddenly increase.

Unexpectedly, all three shook their heads, and Kanisawa stepped forward to explain, "We've arranged to train with Teacher Uehara from the Kidō class for the next few days and won't be done until the evening."

Arata suddenly understood what was going on. No wonder he didn't see Kanisawa when he returned from the Fourth Division. It turned out she really had gone to study under her teacher.

He combed through his memories. Uehara Haru, the teacher who taught Kidō, was a tall and slender woman with quite a beautiful appearance. Many male teachers at the academy were her suitors.

For Shinigami, Kidō was also a very important skill.

Look at Aizen, just one Kurohitsugi without incantation could take down a huge dog in a second. Who would dare to underestimate Kidō?

Thinking of this, Arata gave up on forcing them. After all, Kendo Club classes didn't end in just one day. As long as they came back later, it would be fine.

"Then I'll head back first. You all train hard."

"Alright, see you tomorrow."

Arata left alone. When he passed by the Seireitei Izakaya, he stopped in to take a look, but didn't see Rangiku.

The waitress Koharu noticed Arata had entered. She remembered the face of this customer. After all, he was the one who could sit and talk face-to-face with Manager Matsumoto.

Ever since the shop opened a year ago, there had been very few customers personally served by the manager. The vast majority were Shinigami from Gotei 13 in Shinigami uniforms.

It could be said that Arata was an extremely special case.

"Sir, are you looking for Manager Matsumoto?" Koharu came forward to greet him.

There weren't many customers in the shop at the moment. Most people chose to come to the izakaya in the evening, so she was relatively free.

"I guess. She's not here today?" Arata replied casually. He hadn't come specifically to look for Rangiku. He was just bored and happened to be passing by.

"Yes, the manager said she won't be here for the next few days. It seems she's busy with some teacher training seminar." Koharu tilted her head, recalling what Rangiku had mentioned earlier.

"I see. Thank you."

"You're welcome, it's an honor to help you."

Arata politely thanked Koharu for the information and bought her a bottle of drink as a reward.

With her smiling farewell, Arata left the izakaya, thinking the whole way about the mentioned teacher training seminar.

After digging through his memories for a long time, he finally recalled the information about it.

It was an idea proposed at the beginning of the school year by the old dean of the Shin'ō Spiritual Arts Academy, who was preparing to retire.

Roughly, it involved inviting vice-captains and higher-ranking officers of the Gotei 13 to Shin'ō Academy to give lessons, not to students, but to the teachers of the Shin'ō Academy.

In fact, Shin'ō had held similar activities every year in the past. On one hand, it was to promote exchanges between the Shin'ō Spiritual Arts Academy and the Gotei 13, and on the other hand, to cultivate more and better talents for the Gotei 13.

After all, the Spiritual Arts Academy was the reservoir of the Gotei 13, and eighty percent of the new Shinigami promoted to the Seireitei each year were graduates of the Shin'ō Academy.

The remaining 20% were partly inserted by nobles through various channels, and the other part recruited from Rukongai.

Just like the 11th Division, which underwent a major overhaul a few years ago, from captain, vice-captain, to third and fifth seats, everyone was a civilian from Rukongai, and the whole division was completely renewed.

However, apart from the genius boy Gin Ichimaru, who became famous over 50 years ago, Shin'ō hadn't seen a decent genius in years.

Perhaps the old dean realized that the problem wasn't with the students, but with the level of the teachers at the Spiritual Arts Academy being insufficient, so he proposed the idea of a teacher training seminar.

The old dean had something to say: all the retired and wounded soldiers are teaching. Can they teach properly? No. They lack sufficient ability, don't they?

Arata personally didn't care much about the level of the teachers at the Spiritual Arts Academy. More precisely, he would rather the teachers' level be as poor as possible.

Only in that way could his Kendo Club and in the future, the Ghost Club and new Spiritual Arts Academy, have the opportunity to grow bigger and better.

Only then could destiny value continuously flow toward him.

However, from another perspective, with the activities of this teacher training seminar, his opportunities to meet and interact with various important figures in Seireitei would be greatly increased.

After all, he currently had too few real friends among the original characters. One of them was Unohana Retsu, who could be considered his semi-mentor, but so far her fate judgment hadn't been activated and he hadn't gained anything from it.

The other was Matsumoto Rangiku, whom he had met several times. She was just an ordinary friend he could chat with, and she had given him one destiny point.

If Arata wanted to strengthen quickly, he had to meet more original characters, and the teacher training seminar was a good opportunity for that.

Although it was said that the target audience of the classes was the teachers of the Spiritual Arts Academy, there was no explicit prohibition against students attending as auditors.

Besides, as the top student of his generation, wasn't it reasonable for Arata to be diligent and eager to learn?

By then, he would be able to fish in troubled waters at the teacher training seminar while also holding classes in the Kendo Club, using both avenues to increase his destiny value, and his path to becoming a god would be right before his eyes!

A person's mood improves when good things happen. After returning to the dormitory, Arata immediately opened the system mall.

Zanpakuto Shikai, exchange!
