Chapter 72 - Now, the two dragons playing with pearls had become a common sight.

After a day of mediation, Riva had accepted the Fire Dance and joined the fight—Maka followed suit.

Now, the two dragons playing with pearls had become a common sight.

Xu Dan had eaten lunch, completed his after-dinner exercises, and then lifted the two women onto the large sofa he had repurchased.

After that, he resumed his daily routine of browsing the internet.

To facilitate communication for Antarctic fans, the company had specially launched a software that moved the official forum onto a standalone app.

This software integrated quick chat, discussion posts, game strategies, and more.

Currently, Xu Dan was scrolling through the forums using this software.

The main page was dominated by discussions about the latest content in World of Warcraft.

In his game, there was no "pay-to-win leveling" nonsense. If players were quick, he would reward them accordingly.

Though it was possible to earn some money that way, compared to the huge amount of points, money was practically insignificant.

Antarctic Games could arguably be called one of the most profitable companies in the world right now.

Unlike Stark Industries, which sold expensive research equipment but required massive investment, Antarctic Games had a unique advantage: a large team of S.H.I.E.L.D. technicians who didn't need salaries—just three meals a day.

A free labor force of that caliber was a dream come true.

In other words, Antarctic Games could produce games at extremely low cost while reaping massive profits.

As a result, Xu Dan had extreme disdain for low-quality games.

Games without proper leveling systems were meaningless. After hours of grinding, players would have left the beginner stage behind and be ready to tackle the more colorful quests.

Most forum posts were about how to complete quests efficiently and what rare items could drop from them.

But there were always outliers:

"Ask Xu Dan's dad to release a single-player action game! I love fighting!""Wishlist: Ask Xu Dan's dad to make a shooting game! I'm tired of these garbage judgment systems—I beg you!"

And the comments beneath these posts were a mess:

1st floor: "Please hurry up and die, Warcraft is fun! Why aren't you playing it?"2nd floor: "I like fighting. Come over! Here are my coordinates, I'll give you a crooked head!"3rd floor: "Call someone else's dad! Ever wondered how green your current dad is on your head?"…

1st floor: "Love gunfights? Let's team up!"2nd floor: "Trash, still playing other tricks."3rd floor: "I'm a designer at xx game company. Want to try my gunfight game? I have a firearm gift card—I'll get an AK47 when I go in!"

Xu Dan sighed. This was chaos.

Other people could ask on forums, but posts like these just spiraled out of control.

Was there no space for reasonable discussion?

Without hesitation, Xu Dan used his administrator privileges to ban all of these disruptive users.

The sheer number of requests reminded Xu Dan of the company's current position.

Antarctic Games had grown larger and stronger than ever.

But it still only had three main products: The King of Fighters, Warcraft, and World of Warcraft.

Even with positive global reviews, the limited number of titles and genres was insufficient to claim the title of the world's top game provider.

Even Xu Dan felt embarrassed acknowledging such rare achievements.

Since netizens were asking for single-player fighting games and shooting games, why not satisfy them all at once?

He would surprise the fans.

With that in mind, Xu Dan pulled a notebook from the drawer, grabbed a pen, and quickly listed all the games he had played:

Single-player classics:Torture, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil…Shooters:Battlefield series, Counter-Strike, CrossFire, PUBG, Call of Duty…

Creating all of them at once was unrealistic. He could only pick one from each category.

After careful consideration, he chose Torture Original and CrossFire.

Torture Original was a classic. Years later, people still remembered it and wanted to replay it. Its main character, A, remained legendary.

The black-light virus powers were insanely strong.

One person could take on an entire army. Claws, heavy hammers, absorption…

Xu Dan was especially interested in the absorption ability. A was at the top of the food chain—any damage he received could be healed by absorbing living beings.

Who wouldn't love such a perverted ability?

Decision made: Torture Original would be remade.

As for CrossFire, a shooter with mixed reviews? That was deliberate.

Xu Dan was a genius planner, as was his team.

His version of CrossFire would be comprehensive, covering almost every type of shooting gameplay.

Players tired of one type of game could switch modes:

Start small in a battlefield, climb the ranks, and lead an army in World War II Mode.

Prefer survival? Switch to "PUBG Mode," dodge poison zones, and fight for chicken dinner.

Want zombies? Resident Evil Mode, H1Z1 Mode, Road to Survival Mode—all included.

That's why the name CrossFire was perfect: it allowed every type of shooting experience in one game.
